Emily Ratajkowski is one of the most beautiful and sensational actresses in the film industry. The American model and actress made her acting debut in a short film titled Andrew’s Alteration, but it wasn’t until her role as Tasha in iCarly that she became a known figure in Hollywood. After that, she starred in multiple films and TV shows and while most of them are not critical darlings, fans of the actress love her regardless. So, if you love Ratajkowski’s performances and largely erotic thriller films here are the best movies and TV shows starring Emily Ratajkowski you could watch.

10. Welcome Home Credit – Vertical Entertainment

‘Lying and Stealing’ VOD Review
Stars: Theo James, Emily Ratajkowski, Fred Melamed, Frank Gallegos, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Aris Alvarado, Isiah Whitlock Jr. | Written by Matt Aselton, Adam Nagata | Directed by Matt Aselton

If there’s one genre I love as much as horror it’s heist movies, in particular the kind of quirky, independent, often direct to DVD movies. Over the past few years there have been some great indie-comedy heist movies: films like Flypaper, How to Rob a Bank and The Maiden Heist – all of which I’d easily consider my favourites of the genre (Flypaper would even make my all-time favourite films list too).

And what do they have in common?

Well they all successfully balance quirky, offbeat comedy with traditional “heist-film” storytelling. They also all feature a cool and charismatic cast. And surprisingly Lying and Stealing follows suit, whilst also feeling very much like the more “glamorous” more-romantic crime caper films of the 60s.

Emily Ratajkowski and Theo James in Arnaqueurs associés (2019)
Film Review: ‘Lying and Stealing’
Emily Ratajkowski and Theo James in Arnaqueurs associés (2019)
“Lying and Stealing” is a heist movie of a sort mostly seen in the 1960s, when movies like “Charade” found ingenious thieves played by glamorous stars preying upon the priceless knickknacks of the super-rich on the Riviera, and so forth. Such enterprises usually involved not just A-list personalities but lavish production values — all the better to realize that fantasy side of a decade that was stuck closer to Playboy Magazine and hotel-lounge luxury than to Free Love. If there was love (or at least sex) in these movies, it was going to be expensive.

But Matt Aselton’s film does not boast anyone so chic — or bankable — as Cary Grant and Audrey Hepburn. Nor does it lay on the splashy wish-fulfillment settings, though the movie does cough up a few locations at which a homeowner might credibly own an artwork worth more than most of us earn in a lifetime.

The R-rated “Deadpool 2” grossed $318 million in North America and another $419 million overseas during the summer.

Director Attachment

Los Angeles Media Fund has hired Chiwetel Ejiofor to adapt and direct a movie based on the book “The Short and Tragic Life of Robert Peace:...

First Independent Pictures finds 'Gigantic' shoes to fill for the Spring
  • If it would have played at Sundance, it would have stuck out a lot more than it did at Tiff where it got a little lost among the long list of worthy films to see. This was my final film screened before heading back home and if I haven’t mentioned it before Matt Aselton is a talent to watch out for. Unlike its title, Gigantic is a small in scope portrait which sees complex, oddball leads Paul Dano and Zooey Deschanel emancipating their romance in a series of miss-steps, but it’s the smart dialogue and a fine catalogue of moments that set this film apart for me. I’m glad that a smaller distribution company in First Independent Pictures has picked up the film from the Afm, since it’s the sort of picture that needs lots of nurturing and caring during the marketing phase of the pic.

Paul Dano, coming off his featured role in There Will Be Blood, will star in and executive produce Gigantic, an offbeat romantic comedy being helmed by first-time director Matt Aselton. Zooey Deschanel will also star in the indie feature.

Killer Films' Christine Vachon and Charles Pugliese are producing, as is Mindy Goldberg of Epoch Films.

Written by Aselton and Adam Nagata, the script revolves around a mattress salesman and a young woman he meets at his store.

Production is tentatively set for early March in New York. Machine Made Media is financing.

After Gigantic, Dano will segue to the indie feature The Good Heart, which reunites him with Brian Cox; the two starred in Michael Cuesta's L.I.E. Shooting on Heart is scheduled for New York and Iceland at the end of April. Heart revolves around an abrasive barman (Cox) and a young homeless man (Dano) who becomes his protege.

Dano caught the industry's attention with his work in Little Miss Sunshine, which he followed up with the characters of Paul and Eli Sunday in Blood. He is repped by Gersh and Industry Entertainment.
