James Brown was born in Essex, England. He is an independent filmmaker producing much of his work through his production company, JiB Productions Limited.
After directing many short films and thousands of corporate works, Brown wrote, produced and directed a TV series pilot 'The Device' with friend and collaborator Chester Yang. 'The Device' was awarded an excellent script by Film Market Hub.
As of 2022 Brown is writing a six part mini-series for 'The Device' as well as a feature film 'Assembly of Dreams'. He also writes and produces the comic titled 'Stress Le Chef' through his production company.
