When former Sheriff and skeptic of the paranormal, Tom Mayfield (Boo Arnold), encounters three dead bodies on his Texas ranch, he must enlist the help of his conspiracy-theorist brother-in-law (Rawn Erickson II), a local surveillance expert (Dante Basco), and a renowned cryptozoologist (Stephanie Drapeau), in order to uncover who or what is behind these mysterious events. While being pursued by the local detective (Kevin Sizemore) as a lead suspect for these deaths, Tom is forced to reconsider his preconceived ideas of what lies beyond our planet. Ultimately, he must mend the estranged relationship with his daughter (Tahlia Morgan) and come to grips with the truth of his missing wife (Tiffany Heath).

Earlier this week, “Hook” actor Dante Basco (best known for his turn as fan favorite Lost Boy Rufio in the 1991 new classic from director Steven Spielberg), launched a Kickstarter campaign in hopes of funding a short fan film about his character’s pre-“Hook” life, entitled “Bangarang.” The campaign is currently asking for $30,000 to fund the story of the orphaned “Roofus,” long before he added a kicky mohawk and headed off to Neverland. Added bonus? If the campaign hits its stretch goal of $200,000, Basco (who is serving as an executive producer on the project), along with writer and director Jonah Feingold, executive producer Rawn Erickson III and the rest of the “Bangarang” team, would set to work on a full feature.

YouTubers Collab for Drug-Fueled Series ‘The Stooges’
As YouTube networks solidify and creators begin making actual paychecks, it’s easy to forget about the passion filled collaborative days of YouTube’s yesteryear that helped to build some of the site’s biggest fan bases. YouTubers working with YouTubers was a powerful tool that not only grew audiences, but gave content creators an opportunity to have fun working with fellow talent. Yes, collabs certainly still happen, but it feels like they’re happening less so between individuals represented by different YouTube networks. Thankfully, though, we have a show like The Stooges to further remind us people are still working together and it doesn’t always have to be all about the Benjamin’s (not that there’s anything wrong if it is).
