After more than four decades, the Ingalls family is venturing back to television. Production is currently underway on Netflix’s Little House on the Prairie, an adaptation of the same Laura Ingalls Wilder book series that inspired the NBC series of the same name that ran from 1974 to 1983. The Ingalls family is returning to television in the form of a new Netflix series, which will reboot the classic Little House on the Prairie,which ran from 1974 to 1983. The original show chronicled the lives of the family in the 19th-century American Midwest, featuring Ma and Pa Ingalls and their three daughters, Mary, Laura, and Carrie. However, with recent casting announcements for the reboot, fans were left wondering why the role of the youngest Ingalls, Carrie, has not been cast yet.

A fan asked TVLine if Carrie Ingalls was being “retconned out of existence in Netflix’s Little House on the Prairie reboot.” It turns out that there is a simple answer to why the part of Carrie isn’t anywhere to be found. TVLine stated that sources close to the Netflix reboot stated, “When the series opens, Carrie (played on the Og series by Lindsay and Sidney Greenbush) simply has not been born yet.

Netflix wants to get lost in a classic sci-fi adventure series from the 1970s. The streamer has closed a deal with Legendary Television for a new Land of the Lost remake.

According to Deadline, the show's original creators, Sid and Marty Krofft, as well as the latter's daughter, Deanna Krofft Pope, will produce the remake, which is in very early stages at Netflix and Legendary. A writer is currently being sought to script the series, which is once again expected to follow the Marshall family as they accidentally go through a portal and find themselves trapped in a world inhabited by dinosaurs, primate-like people named Pakuni, and reptilian humanoids called Sleestak.

The original Land of the Lost ran for three seasons and 43 episodes on NBC from September 1974 to December 1976. Despite its relatively short run, Land of the Lost became a cult classic, leading to a short-lived reboot on ABC in the early 1990s.

Originally written by Laura Ingalls Wilder during the Great Depression, “Little House on the Prairie” is the semi-biographical look at Wilder’s childhood growing up in the American Midwest between 1872 to 1894. The books were first adapted into the hit TV series by the same name, which ran from 1974 to 1983 on NBC. The new reimagined version of “Little House on the Prairie” is said to be “part hopeful family drama, part epic survival tale, and part origin story of the American West,” according to Netflix.

“Little House on the Prairie” follows the life of Laura Ingalls, a young pioneer girl who comes-of-age during America’s westward expansion. The series will follow Ingalls and her family as they travel across America in search of a new life.

With that episodic disclaimer explicitly absolving the showrunners of misinforming viewers, they’re essentially creating an original story based on a fun idea. Amazon Prime Video has unveiled the first trailer for the dark comedy series “The Sticky.”

According to the official logline, the show “follows Ruth Landry (Margo Martindale), a tough, middle-aged maple syrup farmer who turns to crime when the bureaucratic authorities threaten to take away everything she loves. She teams up with the hot-tempered Bostonian mobster (Chris Diamantopoulos), and a mild-mannered French-Canadian security guard (Guillaume Cyr) to carry out a multi-million-dollar heist on Quebec’s maple syrup surplus.”

As Variety exclusively reported, all six episodes of the half-hour show will debut on Dec. 6. It is based on the real Great Canadian Maple Syrup Heist, but makes it clear in the trailer that “this is absolutely not the true story.”

Gordon Cormier perfectly embodies Aang's bright persona, showcasing his unique mannerisms. Cormier skillfully portrays Aang's interactions with past Avatars, displaying his genuine curiosity. Aang's delightful reactions and caring nature are brought to life by Cormier, setting a promising tone for future seasons.

Horn will star and serves as writer, director and executive producer for the genre-bending home-invasion comedy. The film was previously announced as one of Telefilm Canada six Indigenous projects selected for support through its Indigenous Stream for Theatrical Documentary Program and the Production Program. Written by Albert Kim, Netflix bills the series as an authentic adaptation of the award-winning and beloved Nickelodeon animated series Avatar: The Last Airbender reimagined as a live-action adventure.

The world of Avatar is divided into four nations: the Water Tribe, the Earth Kingdom, the Fire Nation, and the Air Nomads. In addition to the Four Nations, some characters have the ability to visit a parallel dimension called the Spirit World. New cast descriptions follow below.

“Burden of Truth,” a Canadian legal drama starring Kristin Kreuk that airs on The CW in the U.S., has been canceled after four seasons. The final episode of the show’s fourth season, which aired on its home broadcast network CBC on Thursday, will serve as its series finale.

“After four incredible seasons, we’re bringing our ‘Burden of Truth’ story to its conclusion in tonight’s series finale,” a post added to the show’s official Facebook page Thursday said. “We are so proud of the stories we’ve been able to tell each season, especially those related to social justice. Representatives for the show took to its Facebook page today to confirm the news. “We are so proud of the stories we’ve been able to tell each season, especially those related to social justice,” they said. “We’re also tremendously appreciative of the support we’ve received from our fans worldwide, and are particularly grateful to the communities in Winnipeg and Selkirk, Manitoba, for being so welcoming to our crew.”

The CW has acquired the rights to the third season of Canadian legal drama “Burden of Truth.”

Season 3 will have eight hour-long episodes, and production will begin this summer in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. The Canadian-produced series will air on The CW in 2020.

Season 2 of the series will make its U.S. debut this Sunday, June 2 at 8/7c, on The CW.
