Andrew Hanson(I)

Born and raised in rural Iowa, Andrew Hanson never thought he'd grow up to be a professional writer. Against his parents wishes, he attended the University of Southern California and majored in Psychology, but after weekly phone calls, he bent to their pressure and graduated with a theatre degree. Since then, he's been published in newspapers and alternative press, freelanced for the Los Angeles Times covering television and video games. He hosted the weekly stand-up show the Big Idea, performed improv and sketch comedy all over L.A., including the IOWest and UCB Theatres. He's been writing with his partner Patrick Kevin Day in college, and together they won the first-ever TV pilot writing award at the Austin Film Festival, though they both know in their hearts that Andrew does most of the work.
