Published in 2022, Julia May Jonas' debut novel Vladimir is a provocative look at sexual politics, trauma, and the power dynamic between teacher and student at a small liberal arts college. It was almost inevitable that the book would eventually get an adaptation in some form or fashion, but it was just a matter of who would be the one to pick it up. We now have our answer, as Netflix will be turning the acclaimed novel into a series, with Rachel Weisz set to star.
