Toronto's Rebecca Amare landed her breakout role as a sorority girl
on the top-rated Degrassi: The Next Generation TV series.
In just four short years since pursuing this career, Rebecca has also earned parts on movies of the week True Confessions of a Hollywood Starlet and Unstable; feature film The Jazzman; and TV series Being Erica, Da Kink In My Hair, The Listener,The Border, Date My Playlist, Lost Girl,Breakout Kings and Dan For Mayor.
Born in Toronto, Rebecca and her two sisters were always encouraged by their mother to dream big. Rebecca was drawn to the stage. In school, she partook in everything from plays to speech arts competitions. She took her interest in film and television a step further, enrolling in acting classes.
In addition to training at the Pro Actors Lab and Armstrong Acting Studios, she had a knack for zeroing in on people's personalities and mannerisms. She is skilled at listening and watching people around her and applying it in her work.
Rebecca attributes her training as the reason for turning her dream, into the reality of a fulfilling career.
