  • Attended Ricky Lee's Script Writing Workshop in July to October 2018. This is where Ma-an finished her full-length script entitled, "Blue Room".
  • She was a colorist of Quark Henares' "Malacañang 1968" in an anthology of comic-book shorts Siglo:Passion, which was launched on December 10, 2005 in Fully Booked Greenhills.
  • Started writing "Blue Room" in 2010 in Mr. Armando Lao's Found Story Scriptwriting Workshop.
  • She was a Finalist for "Blue Room" in DGPI QCinema Film Pitching in 2019, and she won 3rd prize from CMB Film Services.
  • Nominated for Best Cinematography on CinemaOne Originals Festival in 2019 for the movie "Layang Bilanggo".
  • She is the great great great granddaughter of one of the leading Filipino painters in the 19th century, Justiniano Asuncion (aka Capitan Ting).
  • Her grandfather, Justiniano R. Asuncion, was a co-founder of the fraternity in University of the Philippines, The Upsilon Sigma Phi in 1918 (the oldest Greek-letter organization and fraternity in Asia).
  • River of Dreams (2009) won Best Entry for Children at the 21st Gawad CCP (Cultural Center of the Philippines).
  • Ma-an spearheaded the exhibit of Art & Family: The Asuncion Legacy in Ayala Museum (Makati Philippines) on August 8, 2017 to January 14, 2018.
  • Blue Room was her full-length film as a Director, and she won Best Director in Cinemalaya Film Festival 2022.
