Watch: Jim Cummings' Awkward New Comedy Short 'The Last Brunch'
Image
"I will never not be myself for nobody." Is that some wisdom... or a threat? There's nothing like an awkward brunch with someone you don't like. Indie filmmaker Jim Cummings has unveiled his brand new short film called The Last Bunch online - it's available to watch now. The 11-minute short just premiered at the 2024 SXSW Film Festival earlier this month, and he's launched it on the web without any delay after the fest. The short is about two couple getting brunch at a nice restaurant in Los Angeles, and their conversation gets more and more awkward as it goes on. Starring Bridge Stuart, Dustin Hahn, Taylor Misiak, Julia Bales, Hailey Rose, and Max Fillss. It's best to enjoy this film without knowing anything about where this conversation is going or what will be going down at this lovely brunch. This short quite similar to Julia Bales' short Followers, also about awkward moments.

ThanksKilling 3 Gobbles its Way to DVD
Yes, the original ThanksKilling was far from something to write home about, but we cannot help but applaud the audacity it takes to make a second sequel that goes in search of the first sequel. And now? Now it's on its way home.

From the Press Release

The "Raunchiest Puppet Movie Ever Made*", ThanksKilling 3, debuts for the first time on DVD this October just in time for the holidays. The comedy/ horror spoof sees the return of original creators Jordan Downey and Kevin Stewart to the cult slasher series that follows Turkie, the fowl-mouthed Thanksgiving villain.

The original ThanksKilling was made for the minuscule budget of $3,500 while Downey and Stewart were still in college. After years of marketing it themselves, and with the help of distributor Gravitas Ventures, the film went on to gain a massive cult following for its purposeful "so bad it's good" vibe. It quickly rose...

Gobble Gobble...'ThanksKilling 3' Poster Releases
By Seth Metoyer, MoreHorror.com

Some people hated ThanksKilling, others (like me) thought it was fantastic piece of horror humor. Needless to say, I was thrilled when I heard there was going to be a sequel. And it's finally on its way.

ThanksKilling 3 (yep, they skipped past #2, but, in a rather clever way) centers once again around the fowl-mouthed villian 'Turkie' as he hacks his way to locate the last copu of "ThanksKilling 2". The rare film has found itself in the hands of a bunch of disturbed puppets.

Check out the poster below and watch for a trailer to be posted on MoreHorror sometime next week.

ThanksKilling 3 will release on November 13, 2012 from Gravitas Ventures. The film is directed by Jordan Downey and written by Kevin Stewart, Jordan Downey, and Mike Will Downey. Starring: Dan Usaj, Joe Hartzler, and the voice-talents of Marc M (Flowis), Mike Litzenberg (Greg Garbage...

Do you know any completists? You know, those guys or gals that have to buy every DVD in a franchise, or every comic in a run, or every Star Wars action figure ever made, no matter how bad or money-wasting it seems? Well, the makers of the cult horror comedy Thankskilling hate those people, and to intentionally irritate them, they've skipped the sequel, going straight to the worst known number in the franchise list, that big ol' 3! Yes, ThanksKilling 3 is coming to theaters this Thanksgiving, and its sure to make a couple of you itch in a hemorrhoid way. Today, we have the first official poster, along with some of the mock Part 2 posters that tease the non-existent film our Turkie goes searching for in this gruesome, gory throwback to puppet movies of yesteryear. Take a look!
