Josephine (Josie) is an actress, writer, director, and editor. She grew up in Los Angeles, studied film at Ithaca College for a year, but returned to LA at the start of the pandemic. During the pandemic, she made two short films: BABYMAN and Toughest Things in the Desert. Toughest Things in the Desert made festival rounds and won multiple awards. She also shot and directed a music video for the band Juicebumps.
She studied acting with Cameron Watson. She recently graduated with a degree in philosophy and film from Victoria University of Wellington.
She studied writing with playwright Wes Walker and wrote and starred in I Hope You're Okay and two other plays which were staged at Animal Show's backyard play series in 2022. She also contributed music, set design, and poster art.
She voiced Charlie, in the podcast series A Garden of Terrible Blooms by Sharon Yablon, the episode is titled The Edge of Heaven.
She is currently working on her first feature as writer/director.
