- Andy Roberts was born on January 29, 1951 in Urlings Village, Antigua.
- Cold, intense eyes whenever he took bowling positions.
- Delivered 2 kind of bouncers, one slower and the other ultra fast.
- Made his debut alongside fellow West Indies legends Gordon Greenidge and Sir Vivian Richards against India in 1974.

- Was the curator of the pitch on St. John's, Antigua during the 1993-94 Wisden Trophy. Brian Lara scored his then world record 375 at Antigua during the same series.
- Took his 100th test wicket in just his 20th test. It included the series in which he took 32 wickets in 5 tests on unhelpful pitches of India during the 1974-75 tour, against a formidable batting lineup comprising of MAK Pataudi, Sunil Gavaskar and Gundappa Viswanath, establishing his credentials as one of the most skilled bowlers in the world.
