Hollywood has lost a star too soon.  Neil Fingleton, the British actor behind Game of Thrones' Mag the Mighty, has died at 36 years old, multiple outlets have reported.  Standing at over 7 feet tall, Fingleton was the tallest man in the United Kingdom and among the tallest in the world.  "I have never been self conscious about my height," he was quoted saying by the Guinness World Records. “Game of Thrones” star Neil Fingleton died Saturday, according it a statement posted on the Tall Persons Club Facebook page. He was 36. “Sadly it has come to our attention that Neil Fingleton Britain’s Tallest man passed away on Saturday,” the statement reads. “Neil became Britain’s Tallest man in 2007 passing the height of Chris Greener. Neil started off in basketball in the USA before becoming an actor and starring in the ‘X-Men First Class; and also recently in the ‘Game of Thrones.’ Our thoughts and condolences go out to his family.” Sadly it has come to our attention that Neil Fingleton.

Neil Fingleton, the U.K.’s tallest man and an actor who appeared in Game Of Thrones and Doctor Who, has died. That comes from The Guardian, which lists his cause of death as heart failure. Fingleton was 36.

Fingleton was born in England in 1980, but moved to the United States as a teenager after attending a basketball camp and realizing he wanted to pursue the sport more seriously. At more than seven feet tall, Fingleton quickly took to basketball and stuck with it through college, eventually reaching the semi-professional American Basketball Association and then the NBA Development League. His basketball career ended due to an injury in 2007, though, so he decided to return to England and pursue an acting career.

The 7’7″ Fingleton, who held the title of tallest British-born man in the world, played basketball in college (at both the University of North Carolina and Holy Cross) and professionally before transitioning into acting.

Filming has begun in Cardiff for Season 9 of Doctor Who and includes a star-studded guest cast. The new season will be back on BBC One in Autumn 2015. The episodes currently being filmed are written by Toby Whithouse (The Game, Being Human), produced by Derek Ritchie and directed by Daniel O'Hara (Silent Witness 2015, The Game, Being Human). Here's what Steven Moffat, lead writer and Executive Producer, had to say in a statement.

"An amazing guest cast for a brilliantly creepy two-parter by Toby Whithouse. Peter Capaldi and Jenna Coleman are back in Cardiff, back in the box, and back in action - for one of our scariest adventures yet!"

On set filming for the new series, Peter Capaldi added the following statement.

Filming has begun on the ninth series of Doctor Who with a two-part script by Toby Whithouse.

Whithouse's two-parter will be directed by Daniel O'Hara (Being Human).

As previously announced, Game of Thrones actor Paul Kaye will play a guest part, while additional cast includes The Missing's Arsher Ali, Grantchester's Morven Christie and Torchwood's Colin McFarlane.

"As a kid of the 1970's, the two shows you always watched were Top of the Pops and Doctor Who, they were unmissable," said Kaye.

"I actually wrote a song called 'Looking for Davros' in my first punk band and I sang it like a demented Dalek. I got to present Totp back in the mid '90s and landing this role in Doctor Who completes the dream double.

"Peter is a perfect Doctor and I'm loving every minute of the experience, even the five hours in make-up. What a treat...

New Delhi, December 11: Keanu Reeves will be seen battling on of the tallest man in the world, Neil Fingleton, in '47 Ronin'.

The 49-year-old Canadian actor has been undergoing rigorous sword training, learning the Tengu sword techniques and pit-fighting techniques for the role of Kai, a Samurai, in his upcoming film, which based on real life event in early 18th Century in Japan, Universal Pictures India reported.

However, the 'Matrix' star revealed that he had a hard time shooting for the film, which is a mix of facts and fantasy, despite rigorously training.
