Oh, did we say “former” NCIS agent? That’s because that was the first bombshell that got dropped on us before Sam (played by NCIS: LA vet LL Cool J) arrived in the big orange room.

Sad news was confirmed by NCIS: Los Angeles star Eric Christian Olsen and his family.

The Palisades Fire burned down the home where Eric, his wife Sarah, and their three children had lived.

California has been plagued by wildfires this month. Firefighters continue to battle against the elements to put out those fires.

“Anybody have room for three kids and three dogs? Two of which have to be separated at all times. Also Wyatt’s Lego collection and Esme’s mermaids,” Eric wrote in a post earlier in December.

He couldn’t have known that his worry about a previous fire in the area would give way to something else as January arrived.

At the time, Eric received many kind messages from folks, including his former co-star on NCIS: Los Angeles, Daniela Ruah.

NCIS: Los Angeles star Eric Christian Olsen addresses a potential return in the upcoming NCIS season 22. After an impressive run that consisted of 14 seasons and more than 300 episodes, the LA spinoff ended in part because of the large costs associated with the veteran series. But since then, a few key cast members from the NCIS spinoff have returned to the CBS franchise in different roles.

Olsen, who played the main role of Marty Deeks, spoke with TVLine about reprising his NCIS: LA role. Olsen, who is an executive producer on the new Matlock series, joked that he occasionally imagines himself appearing in the Kathy Bates reboot. But when it came to Marty Deeks, he was more conflicted. He initially focused on his co-stars, LL Cool J, Renee Felice Smith, and real-life sister-in-law Daniela Ruah:

NCIS: Los Angeles had a great cast, with some major stars mixed in with actors who became fan favorites thanks to the show. Faces like Chris O’Donnell and LL Cool J had a large fanbase prior, while names like Daniela Ruah and Renée Felice Smith made their names on the show. Eric Christian Olsen was someone between those two levels. He has now announced his next gig after the popular procedural ended.

Eric Christian Olsen Has Another CBS TV Show Coming

Eric Christian Olsen was a movie star before he arrived on NCIS: Los Angeles. He had roles in Pearl Harbor and Not Another Teen Movie. His breakout was playing Lloyd Christmas in Dumb and Dumberer: When Harry Met Lloyd. Olsen played Jim Carrey’s character from the original movie in the prequel.

Original NCIS: Los Angeles star Barrett Foa reacts to missing the series finale. The spinoff premiered on CBS back in 2009, following agents within the LA-based Office of Special Projects – a division of the Naval Criminal Investigative Service that handles undercover assignments. Despite being one of the longest-running shows on television, it was announced in January that NCIS: Los Angeles would conclude after season 14. Foa portrayed Eric Beale through most of the series, a technical operator with a unique personality, whose relationship with Nell Jones (Renée Felice Smith) became an important storyline.

“NCIS: Los Angeles” showrunner R. Scott Gemmill’s goal with the series finale on Sunday, May 21 was to give the characters of the long-running CBS procedural as happy an ending as possible.

“It really was about trying to find a way to wrap up the series that would leave the fans feeling hopeful for the future of all our characters. And so we gave everyone what we figured was their version of happily ever after… at least for the time being,” he told TheWrap in a recent interview.

To that end, in the final episode, Callen (Chris O’Donnell) and Anna (Bar Paly) tie the knot in an impromptu ceremony attended by the rest of the team — except for Hetty (Linda Hunt), who sends a congratulatory note.

NCIS: LA wrapped its 14-season run Sunday with a promise of more action and adventure for Sam (LL Cool J) and Callen (Chris O’Donnell) — which leaves open the possibility for a reunion on Paramount+ sometime in the near future.

For now, though, the series created by Shane Brennan bid farewell to fans by giving them a much-anticipated happy ending. Exclusive: Gerald McRaney, who has recurred on NCIS: Los Angeles since 2014, has been promoted to series regular for the upcoming 13th season of the CBS drama series.

McRaney plays retired Adm. Hollis Kilbride, who advises and counsels the Los Angeles division of the NCIS Special Projects unit during their undercover operations.

“When you have an actor of Gerald McRaney’s caliber, you do everything you can to make sure you get him as often as possible,” executive producer R. Scott Gemmill said. “Admiral Kilbride has been an esteemed part of our universe for seven years now and we look forward to viewers seeing him come in and shake up our NCIS: LA world.”

NCIS: LA is a drama about the high-stakes world of a division of NCIS that is charged with apprehending dangerous and elusive criminals, who pose a threat to the nation’s security.

It’s end of watch for a pair of longtime regular cast members on NCIS: Los Angeles. As the CBS military crime drama wrapped its 12th season Sunday night, Intelligence agent Nell Jones (Renée Felice Smith) and tech consultant Eric Beale (Barrett Foa) worked their final cases.

Smith was with the show since Season 2 in 2010, and Foa had been a regular since the freshman season. Both made irregular appearances on the procedural during the past two seasons, however.

Titled “A Tale of Two Igors,” the season-finale episode saw Beale make an interesting offer to Jones. He landed financing for an international headquarters of his tech company to be built in Japan and asks her to join him as operations manager. While Jones ultimately declines the job offer, she does leave with him — though she hints at a possible return.

With her NCIS: Los Angeles run having come to an end, Renée Felice Smith is ready for her next chapter — somewhat literally, being an author as well as an actress.

In the CBS drama’s Season 12 finale, Smith’s Nell Jones made the decision to not officially sign on as the “new Hetty”/Operations Manager, but instead join partner Eric Beale on an adventure to Tokyo, to head up his tech venture. But before driving off into the sunset, Nell briefly reunited with long-mia Hetty herself, in costar Linda Hunt’s first on-set appearance of the season.

All season long, The Equalizer‘s Delilah has wondered what her mom really does for a living.

Every time she asked Robyn, and later Aunt Vi, the two stuck to their story that Robyn works for a nonprofit. And Robyn, with a few exceptions, did a great job of deceiving Delilah and protecting her daughter from her secret life equalizing injustices in the world. “NCIS: Los Angeles” has been renewed for Season 13 at CBS, with the broadcaster also ordering “NCIS: Hawaii” to series.

“NCIS: Hawaii” was first announced as being in development back in February. Matt Bosack, Jan Nash, and Chris Silber are co-writing and executive producing, with Larry Teng attached to direct and executive produce. In the show, the first female Special Agent in Charge of NCIS Pearl Harbor and her team balance duty to family and country, investigating high-stakes crimes involving military personnel, national security and the mysteries of the island itself.

After Castille’s Devin Rountree appears on the radar of NCIS’ Office of Special Operations, Agents G.
