Mortal Kombat (1995)
‘Mortal Kombat: Legacy’ Episode Four – “Kitana & Mileena (Part 1)”
Mortal Kombat (1995)
[1] The first three episodes of Kevin Tancharoen's web series Mortal Kombat: Legacy, have focused on Earthlings Sonja Blade (Jeri Ryan), Stryker (Tahmoh Penikett), Jax (Michael Jai White) and Johnny Cage (Matt Mullins). For the fourth installment, the series leaves our planet behind for the land of Edenia, which has been taken over by the sinister Outworld empire. The new episode, titled "Kitana & Mileena (Part 1)" follows the origin of the Edenian "sisters," portrayed here by Samantha Tjhia and Jolene Tran. Aleks Paunovic plays their "father" Shao Khan, and Beatrice Ilg is Kitana's mother. Watch it after the jump. [via ScreenRant [2]] I'm not too well-versed in Mortal Kombat mythology -- I was always more of a Street Fighter girl, myself -- so I can't speak to how faithful these webisodes have been to the source material. What I can say is that I've been enjoying the series so far. The stories are definitely entertaining,...

Shao Kahn, Emperor of the Outworld, has tricked Shang Tsung into becoming his servant for Mortal Kombat by making him clone Mileena as a Tarkatan clone of Kitana, out of Shao Kahn’s fear that Kitana wouldn’t love him enough if she ever found out the truth about her Mother and Father.” This episode of Mortal Kombat: Legacy also stars Johnson Phan, Karin Inghammar, Fraser Aithcheson, Aaron Hutchinson, Lani Gelera, Colin Decker, Eli Zagoudakis, and Don Lew. Mortal Kombat: Legacy Web Series Part 4 (of 9)
Fourth episode in Kevin Tancharoen’s “Mortal Kombat: Legacy” web series features a history/background of wardrobe-challenged Kitana and Mileena. Half of the episode is in animated form, which, I dunno, isn’t that kind of a gyp? Isn’t the whole point of this doing everything in live-action? Anyways. Beautiful, athletic, and trained as highly skilled assassins, Kitana and Mileena have grown up thinking that they are sisters. Shao Kahn, Emperor of the Outworld, has tricked Shang Tsung into becoming his servant for Mortal Kombat by making him clone Mileena as a Tarkatan clone of Kitana, out of Shao Kahn’s fear that Kitana wouldn’t love him enough if she ever found out the truth about her Mother and Father. Starring Aleks Paunovic as Shao Khan, Samantha Tjhia as Kitana, Jolene Tran as Mileena, Kirby Morrow as King Jerrod, Beatrice Ilg as Queen Sindel, Fraser Aitchieson as Baraka,...

Mortal Kombat: Legacy's Fourth Episode is Out of This World
Test your might, again!  Regardless of how you felt about the censored Johnny Cage episode, the fourth of nine installments in director Kevin Tancharoen's re-imagining of the Mortal Kombat franchise Mortal Kombat: Legacy has hit the net!

Starring Beatrice King as Queen Sindel, Aleks Paunovic as Outworld overlord Shao Kahn, Sam Tjhia as Kitana and Jolene Tran as Mileena, the fourth installment leaves Earth behind to explore the backstory of Edenia, which finds itself conquered by Outworld as big bad Shao Kahn (minus the skull mask) seizes power over the land, taking Queen Sindel to wife and raising both baby Kitana and her sinister clone Mileena.

The largely animated and CG episode sets the stage for for a more otherworldly approach to the series, also introducing the savage Baraka as leader of the fierce Tarkata army, a notable difference from his original appearance in director Kevin Tancharoen's concept trailer.

'Mortal Kombat: Legacy' Episode 4 - Sibling Rivalry (Part 1)
Johnny Cage and his woes in the world of reality television have been cast aside for the ladies. The fourth episode of 'Mortal Kombat: Legacy' (see below) focuses on the early years of Kitana (Sam Tjhia) and Mileena. (Jolene Tran) The two girl's mother, Sindel (Beatrice King) makes an appearance, as does Shao Kahn, (Aleks Paunovic) Shang Tsung, (Johnson Phan) and the always attractive, Baraka. (Fraser Aitcheson) Sindel is the most dissimilar to the way she's typically depicted because of the timeline. She hasn't had time to go white-haired and crazy. 'Mortal Kombat: Legacy' is exclusive to Machinima. The web series is directed by Kevin Tancharoen, the man who sparked a renewed interest in the idea of a live-action 'Mortal Kombat' film with his short, 'Mortal Kombat: Rebirth.' Although he's yet to get the go-ahead for a full feature film, 'Legacy' is proving to be a success,...
