Though Wild Cards is confirmed to be getting two more seasons in Canada, it is still unsure whether the future seasons will air stateside. Considering the show's critical performance, with the first season boasting a hugely impressive 100% Rotten Tomatoes score, its future on The CW may still be looking bright. Per Deadline, CBC has handed out a massive two-season renewal for Wild Cards, which is made by Blink49 Studios, Front Street Pictures, and Piller/Segan in association with The CW. The renewal comes ahead of the U.S. air date for the Season 2 finale of Wild Cards, which is set to premiere on The CW on May 7. CBC's renewal will keep Wild Cards on the air through its fourth season, with the next two seasons set to comprise 10 episodes each.

Wild Cards starring Riverdale‘s Vanessa Morgan and Reign‘s Giacomo Gianniotti will make its primetime debut on The CW on January 17, 2024. Described as a crime-solving procedural with a comedic twist, episode one – “The Infinity Thief” – introduces Gianniotti as a cop forced to team up with a con artist, played by Morgan.

Season one episodes will air on Wednesdays at 8pm Et/Pt.

Morgan stars as Max Mitchell, Gianniotti plays Cole Ellis, Terry Chen is Chief Li, and Jason Priestley is George. Season also stars Michael Xavier as Detective Simmons, Amy Goodmurphy as Detective Yates, Fletcher Donovan as Ricky, and Jonesy as Marc.

There’s another Amityville movie to watch! And this one actually has some connection to the early days of the franchise. These days it seems like every indie filmmaker in the world has made something with Amityville in the title, but the new film The Amityville Curse is based on the novel of the same title, which was written by Hans Holzer. Holzer was a parapsychologist who invested the supposedly haunted house in Amityville in the ’70s and went on to write the books Murder in Amityville (which served as a source of inspiration for Amityville II: The Possession), The Secret of Amityville, and yes, The Amityville Curse. The new adaptation of Holzer’s work has been released through the Tubi streaming service as a Tubi Original – and you can check out the trailer for it in the embed above.

This is actually the second movie to be called The Amityville Curse.

The Amityville Curse seemed to bear a couple of its own curses. It’s an Amityville knockoff and after Amityville Cult, Amityville Thanksgiving, Amityville in the Hood, and so many more, it’s pretty much a guarantee of mediocrity. Secondly, it’s a Tubi Original, which usually carries a very similar guarantee.

But there were a couple of reasons to be hopeful as well. Director Éric Tessier may not be well known outside of Quebec but his adaptions of two of Patrick Senécal’s novels, 5150 Elm’s Way and more importantly, Sur le Seuil aka Evil Words, are both excellent. Dennis Heaton wrote the film, based on the novel by the late Hans Holzer. Heaton you may recall wrote the Billy Connolly zom-com Fido.

Lifetime continues to up its game with an ambitious pledge of 30 in 30. That's right; once Thanksgiving hits, Lifetime will air 30 brand-new Christmas movies in 30 days, every single day between Nov. 26 and Dec. 25.

But the even better news is that you will not need to wait until then for new Christmas flicks. It's a Wonderful Lifetime officially kicks off November. 12, with new movies airing every Saturday and Sunday from then until Thanksgiving hits us with the daily fun and festivities.

It's the network's largest holiday movie slate to date, and they're doing it in style with musical superstars, icons, and legends, fan-favorite TV stars, Holiday and Lifetime favorites.

Apple TV Plus released a trailer for “Invasion,” which launches Oct. 22 with it first three episodes.

The new series hails from Simon Kinberg and David Weil and is set across multiple continents as citizens across the globe struggle to deal with the titular event, which at first presents as smaller and more manageable issues.
