Hooman Behmanesh
Hooman Behmanesh, director of photography, was born in Gilan province, Lahijan, on January 26, 1981. Behmanesh is a graduate of cinema directing from Sura University of Isfahan. From his childhood, he had a keen interest in filmmaking and piloting. He says he is a child of war and got interested in cinema by watching war films of the 1980s. "I didn't become a pilot," he says, "But maybe today with the cinema, I'm flying around with more dreams. " Behmanesh began his artistic career as a teenager and made several short films between the ages of 1995-1999 and edited or produced some. He has also served as assistant director on several films, the most notable of which is "Naff". Hooman Behmanesh also experienced planning and editing in that film. Finally, it was in 2006 that he began his independent career as a director of photography with the movie "Those Three" directed by Naqi Nemati. Hooman Behmanesh is now regarded as one of the most experienced directors of photography in Iranian cinema. He is also a member of the Iranian Cinema Short Film Association, the National Elite Foundation of Iran, the Asian Pacific Academy of Motion Picture Science and Technology. Film 'Sweet' was a sweet adventure that Hooman Behmanesh experienced in his second independent work with Abbas Kiarostami. Then, he became one of the most prolific cameramen in cinema. His other activities include filming movies such as "Empty Seat" directed by Saman Esterki 2007, "Shoot at a Target" (Mohammad Katiraei 2008), "Wingless Peacocks" (Javad Mazdabadi 2008), "Voice of My Foot" (Mehrdad Khoshbakht 2009). , "There Are Things You Don't Know" (Fardin Sahebzemani 2009), "Flower Face" (Vahid Mosaian 2010), "Simple Reception" (Mani Haghighi 2011), "I Feel Sleepy" (Reza Attaran 2011), "The Private Life of Mr. and Mrs. Mim" (Ruhollah Hejazi 2011), "Sinners" (Faramarz Gharibian 2011), "Darband" (Parviz Shahbazi 2012), "The Living of Mr. Mahmoudi and and his Wife" (Ruhollah Hejazi 2012), "Melbourne" (Nima Javidi 2013), "Today" (Reza Mir Karkimi 2013), "Bahman" (Morteza Farshbaf 2013), "I'm Diego Maradona" (Bahram Tavakoli 2014), "Dragon Enters" (Mani Haghighi 2015), "Malaria" ( Parviz Shahbazi 2015), "A House in Forty-first Street" (Hamid Reza Ghorbani 2015), "Hot Summer" (Ebrahim Irajzad 2016), "My Second Year at College" (Rasul Sadr-e-Ali 2017), "Ninth Symphony" (Mohammad Reza Honarand 2017; ), "Figure" (Pouya Parsamagham 2018), "Living" (Hossein Amiri, Pedram Pouramiri 2018), "Indian" (Nima Javidi 1) and "Meter Shishonim" (Saeed Rustavi 2018). "Khorshid" (Majid Majidi 2019). Behmanesh also filmed long documentaries such as "President Mirqanbar" directed by Mohammad Shirvani 2005; "Where's Lily?" Directed by Mohammad Shirvani 2006; "Cooking Recipes" directed by Mohammad Shirvani 2007; "Mothers of The World" Directed by Justin Shapiro 2007 and "lullaby" directed by Manizhe Hekmat. Despite his young age, He has had such a lucrative and prolific career in cinema and has been nominated and won numerous awards at various festivals. Among them are the Best Cinematography at the Sura Student Film Festival (2002), the Best Editing Award at the Iraqi International Film Festival (UNICEF 1999), the Best Cinematography Award at the Isfahan World Short Film Festival (2004), the Best Cinematography Award from Tehran Short Film Festival (2006), Best Documentary Cinematography Award at the First Documentary Film Festival (2007), Best Cinematography award at the Asia Pacific-Australia Film Festival (2007), Best Cinematography Award at the 10th Boston American International Film Festival (2012), Best Cinematography award of thirty-first Fajr Film Festival nomination for Darband (2012), nomination for Best Cinematography in Three Short Film Festivals of Iran Cinema, nomination for Best Cinematography for Asia Cinema Award (Hong Kong 2008), Honorary Diploma in Best Cinematography of 7th Celebration of Iranian Cinema Critics and Writers Association for "Darband" (2013), Nomination for Best Cinematography at Thirty-Second Fajr International Film Festival for "Today" (2013), Nomination for Best Cinematography at 16th Iranian Cinema The movie "Simple Reception" (2013), Featured for Best Cinematography at Stockholm International Film Festival for "Melbourne" (2014), Nomination for Best Cinematography at Thirty-Fourth Fajr Film Festival for "Dragon Enters" (2015), Best Cinematography at 10th Celebration of Critics and Writers Iranian Cinema, Best Cinematography for "Hot Summer" in Thirty-fifth Fajr Film Festival (2016), Best Cinematography in Thirty-seventh Fajr Film Festival nomination for "6.5 Per Meter" (2018) Best Cinematography for the movie "Indian" at twenty First Celebration of Iranian Cinema (2019). Behmanesh has started teaching Cinematography since 2013 and has been active in the education of new talents in the cinema and has trained students and has also worked as an executive producer and investor in the "Hot Summer" and "Figure".
