It's been a few months since episode 11 of Sakamoto Days aired on Netflix, thus concluding the first half of Season 1. Now, Netflix is preparing for the release of Part 2 of their latest hit anime series, with a brand-new trailer showcasing new action, new threats, and the long-awaited reveal of Slur.

The official trailer for Sakamoto Days Part 2 shares what's in store for Taro Sakamoto (Matthew Mercer) as he faces death row inmates that were freed by Slur from the previous season. Meanwhile, The Order continues its hunt for Slur while having to cross paths with Sakamoto and his allies. In addition to this three-way battle tease, the trailer showcases the newest opening for Sakamoto Days, titled "Method" by Kroi. Part 2 of Sakamoto Days Season 1 will be released in July 2025 and will feature 11 new episodes.

It introduced us to the legendary hitman Taro Sakamoto and the unexpected plight he found himself in following his retirement. The first half of the season sets the scene for what's to come, and the wait to see what's next won't be long, as it was revealed that its continuation will occur late in the year. According to the show's official Japanese account on Twitter/X, it was announced that Sakamoto Days will return in the middle of the year and air on Tokyo TV and other networks like Netflix. Along with the announcement is a new promo image reminiscent of Avengers: Endgame. The first 11 episodes are now available to stream on Netflix, and an English dub is available for those interested.

Netflix is fully committed to its new anime initiative, and its latest hit, the John Wick-esque Sakamoto Days, has viewers obsessed. Sakamoto Days, based on the manga of the same name by Yuto Suzuki, is the streamer's latest original anime series. Netflix has revealed the first look at its upcoming English dub for Sakamoto Days ahead of the series premiere on the streaming platform on Jan. 11, 2025. Matthew Mercer headlines the star-studded English cast as the legendary hitman Taro Sakamoto, who retires from the deadly lifestyle after falling in love (and later lets himself go).

However, one does not simply leave the criminal underworld alive. A luxurious bounty has been placed on Sakamoto’s head, and mercenaries worldwide are out to claim it. The highly anticipated anime series is based on the critically acclaimed Shonen Jump manga by Yuto Suzuki. Via a press release, Netflix has now unveiled the debut English dub trailer, seen below, alongside the full list of English-language voice actors starring in the upcoming release.
