Matthew Stiller

‘Cold Feet’ Review
Image
Stars: Gabe Arredondo, Adam Burns, Allen C. Gardner, Matthew Gilliam, Matt Mercer, Nathan Ross Murphy, Drew Paslay, Matthew Stiller, Kenneth Farmer, Lindsey Roberts, Najarra Townsend | Written by Allen C. Gardner | Directed by Brad Ellis, Allen C. Gardner

Bachelor Parties or the ‘Stag Do’ as people in the U.K. will know it, aren’t the most common of places for a horror movie to take place. But here we are with Cold Feet. A group of friends rent a house for a night and in the morning find a stripper dead, a ghost inside the house, and snipers waiting for them outside. Not a good place to be.

Cold Feet takes place entirely in that one location and it’s a good example of how to make something good out of exactly that. It’s not creative in using its one space but it uses plenty of dialogue and keeps things generally comedic.

Being Awesome (2014)
Being Awesome Movie Review
Being Awesome (2014)
Title: Being Awesome Director: Allen C. Gardner Starring: Allen C. Gardner, Drew Smith, Hayden Wyatt, Alexis Boozer, Matthew Stiller, Sean McBride A recent presentation at the Julien International Film Festival and a West Coast premiere and competition title at the Dances With Films Fest in Los Angeles, well-meaning indie effort “Being Awesome” cycles through well-worn clichés of stuck-in-a-rut, cusp-of-thirtysomething frustration, but adds nothing much new or of interest to the emotionally-adrift-guys subgenre. Written and directed by Allen C. Gardner, it’s a haphazardly staged, genially plotted tale of navel-gazing masculine woe that shouldn’t see much of a life outside the festival circuit. “Being Awesome” centers on Teddy Adams (Gardner again) and Lloyd Gibbard (Drew [ Read More ]

Daylight Fades | Review
Johnny (Matthew Stiller) is a bit too shy to try picking up Elizabeth (Rachel Miles) at the local bar, yet Elizabeth is not about to let his flirting glances get away quite that easily. Before we know it, Johnny and Elizabeth are hooking up. As if their stereotypical gender roles are reversed, Johnny is quick to fall in love while Elizabeth is not known for committing to long-term relationships. Eventually, Elizabeth gets freaked out and Johnny gets angry, so they break up. The end. Wait, I thought this was a vampire flick? Oh, wait... It's not over? When Johnny is involved in a life-threatening car accident, Elizabeth is devastated. She really does love this guy! Unbeknownst to Elizabeth, her absentee father (Allen Gardner) is a vampire who is secretly looking out for her best interests. Knowing Elizabeth would be utterly devastated if Johnny died, her father clandestinely turns Johnny into a vampire.

Vampires Get Sentimental as Daylight Fades
Vicious vampires got you down? Sad that The Twilight Saga is coming to an end? Well buck up, my little sparkling trooper. There's more lusty love-laden bite fodder headed your way with Daylight Fades.

Below you'll find the plot, artwork, and even a sales trailer for Brad Ellis' Daylight Fades, starring Matthew Stiller, Rachel Miles, and Clare Grant.

Look for more soon.

Synopsis

Elizabeth, a tough, jaded twenty-three-year-old, has a strained relationship with her mother, Sarah. She has never met her father, who left Sarah before Elizabeth was born. Sarah is now married to Tim, a recovering alcoholic who used to physically abuse Sarah when he was drunk.

One night Elizabeth goes out to a bar and meets Johnny, a shy, kind-hearted twenty-three-year-old. Elizabeth and Johnny begin dating and quickly grow very close, although she is hesitant to admit how much she needs him. Johnny, however, knows that he's deeply in love with her.

‘Daylight Fades’ Trailer: A Romantic Tragedy With a Supernatural Twist
Quick. Name the one supernatural movie trend that you’re most tired of. Excellent, now see if you can give it one more, distinctly different chance. The trailer for indie film Daylight Fades looks to take a tortured approach to the vampire story by making it the last resort. In the film, two people meet, fall in love, and then get ripped apart by an accident that leaves one on death’s door in the hospital. There’s a solution, but like most desperate things, the price might be far too high to pay. Check it out for yourself: It has a few signs of inexperience and a certain cheapness to the camera work at times, but it has an appeal I can’t quite place my finger on. Maybe because it’s trying to hit the difficult emotional core that major change brings. After all, that’s really what’s at the heart of the vampire...

The Bunnyman Hops Home in June
Here's a tip for you ... while driving anywhere it may not be a good idea to cut anyone off with your car (unless of course you wave and mystically make the intrusion into their lane okay). You just never know what kind of lunatic may be behind the wheel.

See how easily trouble starts? No? Well you'll definitely see this June as the Bunnyman comes hopping home to DVD.

Cheryl Texiera, Matthew Philips, Alaina Gianci, Veronica Wylie, Scott Kuza, Lucia Sullivan, David Scott, Matthew Stiller, Rebecca Grayce, Joseph Darden, and Joshua Lang star.

From the Press Release

Bunnyman arrives on DVD June 21st from Osiris Entertainment. Bunnyman fits in with the other outrageous genre concepts, low-budget filmmaking, and sensationalized titles that are enjoying a resurgence on such programming as Syfy's new Saturday night original movies. Bunnyman comes from the writer/producer/director/editor indie horror filmmaker Carl Lindbergh, whose previous...
