You might imagine that this site was born in London, what with that being the only place that ever gets mentioned when it comes to the cultural identity of our country – the very idea that sweaty, over-populated noisy mess of a place is somehow the automatic cultural hot-spot is laughable to anyone who lives outside of the place. But we’re not from London – this site was conceived and born in the North East of England. And I can quite easily stomach the London-centric attitudes when confronted with one particular trend that has popped its ugly head up on television far too many times in recent years: that is the detrimental caricaturing of a group of people who have done nothing to deserve the treatment. Britain’s Got Talent hopeful Liam McNally has admitted that if the show leads to a serious singing career for him, his first goal will be to pay off his mums mortgage.
Liam impressed the judges on last night’s Bgt show, with his crystal clear rendition of ‘O Danny Boy’ (Video Here). Simon Cowell told him:
“When you sing you have fire in your eyes, you have emotion. You have a real warmth when you perform…it’s believable.
Piers Morgan added:
“It’s probably too early to say this but you’re a proper contender to win Britain’s Got Talent!”
Last night the 14 year old singer told The Sun that he wants to pay his mum’s debts because she’s “always moaning about her mortgage.”
He also wants to buy his gran a gift – to make up for once breaking her false teeth. Do you think that Liam could win Bgt?...

14 year old Liam makes his Britain’s Got Talent debut tomorrow night and wows the judges and audience alike with his rendition of ‘O Danny Boy.’
The singer, whose mum is a is a nurse and dad runs a newsagents, told Ant and Dec:
“I’ve always wanted to sing on the Royal Variety Performance, when my Mum/Dad tell me I’m a good singer it’s good, but if the judges were to say it, it would make me believe my dream.”
“When he sings it makes me so proud, very proud, I don’t think you can get prouder,” his dad said.
His mum added: “The first time I heard Liam sing, I just wondered where he got his voice from as it wasn’t from me or his Dad.”
Liam’s song won him a standing ovation from the crowd but what will the judges think?...
