Marco Cabriolu was born in Iglesias, Sardinia, Italy. From an early age, Marco's love for music and cinema was evident. At just four years old, a fateful screening of The Goonies captivated him, sparking a lifelong passion for film. He was so enthralled that he returned to watch the movie five more times that same week. Recognizing his burgeoning interests, Marco's mother encouraged him to explore his talents further by enrolling him in acting, writing, and music lessons. His early performances in local theaters and venues were met with high praise, showcasing his natural talent. But Marco's artistic journey didn't stop there. At eleven, he began formal music training with private drumming lessons, laying the foundation for a versatile career in the arts.
At the age of 20, Marco made a bold move to New York City to pursue his musical aspirations at the Collective School of Music. During this period, he contributed as a musician to a few albums.
However, a pivotal internship at a film production company shifted his focus from music to cinema. This experience shifted his focus from music to film production, and by 2001, he founded Mediterranea Casting Management (MCM), a company dedicated to film and advertising services.
Over the next eight years at MCM, Marco honed his skills in the film industry, organizing and contributing to over 50 commercials for renowned brands. His roles spanned from Location Manager and Casting Director to Production Manager, Director, Writer, and Producer, giving him a comprehensive understanding of the cinematic process.
With over 20 years in the film and advertising industries, Marco's expertise extends across various creative and executive roles. His career has taken him from Italy to the United States, Spain, the United Kingdom, Russia, China, and the Balkans. As a former executive producer at Filmstar and Filmstar Entertainment Group, Marco eventually launched his own production company, Big Enough Productions, in London. This venture is dedicated to nurturing new talent and bringing original content to life as an independent production house.
Marco has successfully written, directed, and produced a wide range of projects, including national and international commercials, shorts, and feature films. His notable collaborations include working on 5x2 directed by François Ozon, Swept Away directed by Guy Ritchie, and Ancient Warriors directed by Walter Von Huene. Marco made his directorial debut with the dramatic thriller Mosaic, set in New York and starring Daniel Baldwin.
Marco is also a prolific writer and producer. He is the creative force behind the "Millionaire Mind Secrets" documentary series, set to air on cable TV in the United States and major streaming channels in Europe. His recent work includes scripting an animated film for one of Hollywood's leading independent studios.
Marco Cabriolu's journey from a small Sardinian town to the international stage is a testament to his talent, perseverance, and passion for storytelling across multiple mediums.
