Anisul Hoque is a famous writer, poet, playwright, columnist and journalist. He lives in Dhaka, Bangladesh. Anisul Hoque was born in Nilphamary district of Rangpur Division of then East Pakistan (Now Bangladesh) in 1965. His father is late Mofazzal Haque and mother is Mst. Anwara Begum. He was a student of Rangpur PTI primary school. He passed SSC exam from Rangpur Zilla School in 1981 securing 3rd place in combined merit list in whole country. In 1983, he passed HSC exam from Rangpur Carmichael College securing 8th place again in combined merit list in whole country. Haque graduated from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET), trained as a civil engineer. After his graduation he joined Bangladesh Government as a government employee in Railway Department but resigned only after 15 days. Later, He started working as a journalist.His inspiration in journalism and writing started during his student life.He has worked in several feature films. He was awarded Bangla Academy Award in 2012.
