Gil Baroni is a director, film producer, screenwriter and associate at the Beija Flor Filmes production company. He creates films that discuss questions about the LGBTQIA+ universe, with a highlight to the award-winning feature film Alice Júnior (2019), which had its international premiere at the Generation screening of the 70th Berlinale - Berlin International Film Festival, in addition to being selected for the most important film festivals in Brazil, including the 52nd Brasília Film Festival. In total, the film has won 25 awards and is currently available on Netflix in over 190 countries. His most recent film, Casa Izabel (2022) premiered at CINE PE and won 5 awards: Best Film, Best Actor, Best Supporting Actor, Best Art Direction and Best Film Score.
