That’s His Jam: How Britain’s Mo Gilligan Made Jimmy Fallon’s Spin-Off His Own for the BBC
Image
When Jimmy Fallon’s popular late-night segment-turned-spinoff “That’s My Jam” launches on the BBC on Saturday, British comedian Mo Gilligan will be at the helm, making his debut in a major primetime slot.

Gilligan and Fallon have a lot in common: Both have reinvigorated late-night TV on their respective sides of the pond. With catchy segments like “History of Rap” and “Lip Sync Battle,” Fallon brought a musical flavor to late night long before James Corden’s “Carpool Karaoke” ever pulled up. Meanwhile, Gilligan, host of Channel 4’s “The Lateish Show” and “The Big Narstie Show,” shepherded a new wave of British late-night programming.

“It’s not to say there weren’t ones before,” says Gilligan, citing Alan Carr and Graham Norton as earlier U.K. late-night stars. It was more saying, “Where do I fit in, being a young Black guy? I really wanted to bring my own identity.

Channel 4 wants to be “braver” and “more ambitious,” said Jo Street, the network’s head of daytime and features.

Street made the comments during a “Commissioners” panel at the Edinburgh TV Festival alongside head of drama Caroline Hollick, head of factual, Danny Horan and head of entertainment and events Phil Harris.

“I think the next phase for us is what do we do outside of property, we get pitched that all the time,” said Street, who is also the head of Channel 4’s Glasgow hub. “I’m very much, urging people who probably will be watching this: don’t pitch us that sort of safe middle ground, we get so much of that, and I want people to be bolder with what we do. We want to be in territories that we’re not currently in.”

Obsessed With Euphoria's Music? Meet Labrinth, the Musician Behind It All
The buzziest part of Euphoria isn't the breakout stars or the dark, controversial storylines - it's the music, created by Labrinth. The man behind the soundtrack is someone you might have heard of before, but never on this scale.

Born Timothy Lee McKenzie, the English musician, composer, and rapper has been on the music scene for about a decade at this point. He started out his career as a producer and songwriter, which brought him to the attention of Simon Cowell. In 2010, Cowell signed Labrinth to his label, Syco, becoming the first singer in six years that got a deal with Cowell without having first appeared on one of his reality TV music competitions. His debut single, "Let the Sun Shine," came out in 2010, reaching No. 3 on the UK charts. His first studio album, Electronic Earth, arrived in full in April 2012.

Since then, Labrinth has been pretty busy! Although his second studio album,...

But one singer on Queen is less well-known to American listeners: Labrinth, who co-wrote, co-produced and sang on “Majesty,” a schizophrenic, hard-hitting record with an astoundingly fast verse from Eminem.

Labrinth is a singer-songwriter-producer with a long resume that includes previous placements with Rihanna (“Lost in Paradise” from Unapologetic), the Weeknd (“Stargirl Interlude” from Starboy) and Ed Sheeran (“Save Myself” from ÷). In the U.

Days later, Bello shared pictures from that shoot on his social media but with interest of finding out who that young woman was in the photo.

Exclusive: Natasha Bedingfield on How Her Struggling Parents Fed a Family of 6 on $6 a Day
Natasha Bedingfield
Wearing a gorgeous Bebe Aguirre floral two-piece and belting out fan favorite “Pocketful of Sunshine” at one of her bucket list concert venues, it wouldn’t be surprising if Natasha Bedingfield was secretly pinching herself at the Hollywood Bowl earlier this month.

Since she began pursuing her music dreams, the 35-year-old singer has performed for the Pope and former President Barack Obama, earned a Grammy nomination, toured with Justin Timberlake and New Kids on the Block and collaborated with everyone from Lifehouse and Rascal Flatts to Nick Carter and Nicki Minaj.

But the glitzy life is a world away from her childhood in the U.K., where the singer reveals her New Zealand-born parents, John and Molly, struggled to make ends meet, feeding their family on less than $6 a day and relying heavily on supermarket scraps.

Game of Thrones' John Bradley shows off his incredible drumming skills
John Bradley has exchanged his sword for a set of drumsticks to show off his incredible skills on Bring the Noise.

The Game of Thrones star becomes Westeros's new King of Rock when he joins Nicole Scherzinger and Joel Dommett for a rendition of Phil Collins's 'In the Air Tonight' this Thursday.

He even manages to outshine Dommett, who plays the cymbals while dressed as another Game of Thrones character, Daenerys Targaryen.

The trio take on Tinie Tempah, Katherine Ryan and Katy B in the show hosted by Ricky Wilson.

Bradley can be seen as Samwell Tarly when Game of Thrones returns next year.

His Bring the Noise drumming masterclass airs this Thursday (October 29) on Sky1 at 9pm.

Ricky Wilson and David Tennant go full Elton John and Kiki Dee in really rather good parody
Sky 1's new music panel show Bring the Noise hasn't even begun yet, but already it's given us this rather good/disturbing clip of David Tennant really committing to character.

The Broadchurch star and Kaiser Chiefs' Ricky Wilson act out Elton John and Kiki Dee's 1976 video for 'Don't Go Breaking My Heart' - dungarees and formerly receding hairline included.

In the segment, Wilson takes on the role of John and Tennant does Dee, with panellist Nicole Scherzinger remarking: "David, you look pretty as a girl..."

Alongside music video spoofs, Bring the Noise comprises music trivia and performance battles.

Wilson hosts, with team captains Scherzinger and Tinie Tempah sitting alongside regulars Katherine Ryan and Joel Dommett.

Tennant is one of a number of guests to appear on the show, with Martin Kemp also appearing tonight, and Laurence Fox (Lewis), Mel C and Foxes popping up throughout the series.

10 TV shows you must watch this week: Big Bang Theory, American Horror Story, X Factor's Judges' Houses
Autumn may have hit us with its reliable double-header of persistent drizzle and pitch-black commutes, but its better-looking sibling, Autumn TV, has our backs, insisting we hole in our warm sofa sanctuaries for fear of missing any brilliant telly.

Digital Spy has whittled down the next seven days' broadcasting mother lode to a must-watch list of 10, including the much-anticipated return of The Big Bang Theory, Sky1's Never Mind the Buzzcocks wannabe and the opulently decorated tears of Judges' Houses on The X Factor.

1. The Big Bang Theory - Thursday, 8.30pm on E4

The biggest TV show in the world right now returns for its ninth series, after its greatest cliffhanger yet saw Amy dump Sheldon who intended to propose. 'Bazingas' might be in short supply.

With Penny and Leonard also eloping for a Las Vegas wedding, the geeky chums are in for an uncharacteristically dramatic season opener. Sheldon might...

Jess Glynne will be joining Cheryl on The X Factor at Judges' Houses
Jess Glynne will be joining Cheryl Fernandez-Versini on The X Factor at Judges' Houses.

The 'Hold My Hand' singer is accompanying Cheryl to help make her final decision, as she chooses which Groups to take with her to the live shows.

Glynne scored a number one last year with Clean Bandit on 'Rather Be', before picking up four more - including 'Don't Be So Hard on Yourself' and 'Not Letting Go' with Tinie Tempah.

Cheryl recently vowed to be a much "tougher" judge and mentor this year, adding that she's usually "like a sponge [and] too sensitive".

Meanwhile, Mark Ronson has been confirmed for Judges' Houses with Nick Grimshaw. Ronson and Grimmy will be teaming up to judge the Boys in Oldham, Greater Manchester.

The X Factor continues on Saturday night (October 3) at 8pm on ITV. Watch Rita Ora talking to Digital Spy about the Six Chair Challenge below:...

Is this the new Buzzcocks? Ricky Wilson to host Bring the Noise, Sky 1's new music panel show
Never Mind the Buzzcocks may be gone from TV screens, but Sky1 is planning a spiritual successor to the defunct music panel show.

Ricky Wilson of Kaiser Chiefs and The Voice fame is your host of Bring the Noise, which promises to blend music trivia questions with set pieces, parodies, mash-ups and a final round performance battle.

Nicole Scherzinger and Tinie Tempah have signed up as team captains, while stand-up comedian Katherine Ryan joins as a regular panellist.

"Nicole, Tinie and Katherine are all completely brilliant and ridiculous in equal measure," said Wilson, who previously hosted Buzzcocks in 2006.

X Factor hosts Olly Murs and Caroline Flack not attending Judges' Houses?
It's currently being suggested that X Factor hosts Olly Murs and Caroline Flack will not be attending the key Judges' Houses stage of the competition in person this year.

Instead, the duo will anchor proceedings from the studio, according to The Sun.

The ITV talent show's previous host Dermot O'Leary jetted across the world with the judges - touching down in locations such as Mexico, Australia and Los Angeles.

A spokesperson for ITV has since told Digital Spy: "There is nothing confirmed for Judges' Houses at this stage."

Last year's Judges' Houses - which sees finalists being selected for the live shows - saw Simon Cowell being joined by Sinitta at his lavish home in La, and Cheryl Fernandez-Versini teaming up with Tinie Tempah in Nice.

Louis Walsh was in Bermuda with Tulisa Contostavlos, while Mel B had a mini Spice Girls reunion with Emma Bunton in Mexico.

It has...
