Thunderbolts* Will Fail To Break Even At The Box Office - Is Marvel Studios Planning A Strategy Change?
Image
Deadpool & Wolverine broke box office records last summer. However, after Captain America: Brave New World underperformed in February (which wasn't helped by pricey reshoots), the hope was that Thunderbolts* might right the ship.

Disney CEO Bob Iger hailed it as the "first and best" example of Marvel Studios' return to quality over quantity following overwhelmingly positive reactions—it remains one of the McU's best-reviewed movies—and, six weeks later, it's made only $371 million worldwide.

According to Variety, the studio intentionally reined in spending on Thunderbolts*. Executives were conscious that its leads were part of the pandemic-era Black Widow (which bypassed theaters for Disney+'s short-lived Premier Access service) and streaming series The Falcon and The Winter Soldier.

Marvel Studios typically spends $200 million - $250 million to produce a blockbuster, and $120 million - $140 million to market it. In the case of Thunderbolts*, it was filmed for $180 million with a $100 million marketing spend.

Marvel’s Deadliest Power Couple Is About to Lead a Whole New Team of Avengers
Image
The following contains major spoilers for The New Avengers#1, on sale June 11 from Marvel Comics.

Two of Marvel Comics' hottest heroes are leading the charge against Doctor Doom with a whole new kind of New Avengers.

The New Avengers #1 opens to find Bucky Barnes, better known as the Winter Soldier, catching up with one of his old friends at their gas station in the middle of the New Mexico desert. Unfortunately for said friend, Bucky knows they have been selling out their neighbors to Doctor Doom's regime. As such, the Winter Soldier has to make an example of the man by setting the gas station ablaze. Of course, that is nothing compared to what Natasha Romanova, better known as the Black Widow, has in store for the two of them, and her plans go far beyond a long-overdue romantic rendezvous.

Thunderbolts* Will Be Dethroned By Final Destination Bloodlines At The U.S. Box Office This Weekend
Image
Thunderbolts* *The New Avengers was #1 for two weeks at the North American box office, but will be knocked from the top spot this weekend by Final Destination Bloodlines.

The horror franchise's long-awaited return—which has been awarded 92% on Rotten Tomatoes from critics and a B+ CinemaScore by moviegoers—was always expected to win the weekend. After $5.5 million in previews on Thursday and a $20 million Friday, Deadline expects it to gross $43 million by close of business on Sunday.

This will be the best opening ever for a Final Destination movie, and while Sinners topped Thunderbolts* on Thursday, the Marvel Studios movie is eyeing second place and $16 million during its third weekend in theaters. That's a -50% drop, meaning the MCU movie is holding up well.

*The New Avengers branding has likely helped, and it should reach $154.8 million by Sunday, placing it 14% ahead of Eternals at the same point during its run.

New Avengers Revived with New Roster, New Mission
Image
New York, NY— May 7, 2025 — In March, Marvel Comics announced that a new era of Thunderbolts was coming this June by writer Sam Humphries (Uncanny X-Force) and artist Ton Lima (West Coast Avengers). Today, a startling truth is revealed—in classic Thunderbolts fashion, this latest iteration isn’t at all what it seems! They’re the New Avengers!

Since their debut as a team of disguised supervillains, the Thunderbolts have become synonymous with unpredictable twists and unconventional rosters. This legacy continues with a surprise—and first-of-its-kind—comic book title change that echoes the jaw-dropping twist in Marvel Studios’ Thunderbolts*, now in theaters, while introducing an entirely new—and shocking—team of heroes!

The Winter Soldier. Black Widow. Eddie Brock, Carnage. The Hulk. Namor. Clea. Wolverine. It’s a group of the most dangerous loners and antiheroes in the Marvel Universe, yet they’ll come together as the New Avengers! In classic Avengers fashion,...

The New Avengers Recruit Hulk for New Series, But It's the Villains Who Will Blow Your Mind
Image
The New Avengers are back, as Marvel gives the beloved team their own series after years out of the spotlight. A new roster including Winter Soldier, Black Widow, Carnage, Wolverine, Clea Strange, Namor and the Hulk will assemble, but wait until you find out who they're up against.

Fresh off recent events in the MCU, Marvel is releasing a new volume of New Avengers. Marvel promises "a revolutionary new era of Earth's Mightiest Heroes" in the spirit of the original team, created by Brian Michael Bendis and David Finch. The publisher is calling this team "Earth's Deadliest Heroes," as they go up against a threat that can't be allowed to survive.

Marvel had previously announced that Humphries' series would be a Thunderbolts title, however it's now been revealed that the roster will constitute a fresh version of the New Avengers. Shockingly, the team are going up against evil versions of...

Marvel Comics Retitles Upcoming New Thunderbolts* Series New Avengers Following Movie's Release
Image
Back in March, Marvel Comics announced that a new era for the Thunderbolts would begin this June with Sam Humphries and Ton Lima's New Thunderbolts* comic book series.

It's True, Okay? Marvel Is Really Reviving the X-Men's Deadliest Villain
Image
The first issue of Marvel Comics last team-up title starring Deadpool and Wolverine ended with a shocking reveal, as legendary X-franchise villain Stryfe, the villainous duplicate of hero Cable, made his return. Marvel doubled down on the twist, as it seems the Merc With a Mouth is working for the antagonist, seeking to bring about "the time of the X-Cutioner."

In a preview first shared by Aipt for Deadpool/Wolverine #2 – written by Benjamin Percy, with art by Joshua Cassara –doesn't reveal much more about the twist, so fans will have to pick up the issue when it is released next month to find out how Deadpool has fallen under Stryfe's sway, and what exactly their plans for Wolverine and Marvel's mutants are.

Stryfe is among the most impactful villains in X-Men history, and author Ben Percy does not choose his villains lightly – meaning readers can be assured that something big...

‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ Concept Artist Unveils a New Scrapped Wolverine Design Once Considered for the Film
Image
Of the year’s three major comic book adaptations, Deadpool & Wolverine is the only one to truly meet expectations, winning over both fans and critics and becoming the second-highest-grossing film of the year.

Meanwhile, Joker 2 missed the mark with audiences, and although Venom 3 might earn a solid box office return and some fan approval, critics have already been less than enthusiastic.

An official art book from ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ has just been released, packed with concept art, sketches, and behind-the-scenes materials. One of the highlights is an unused variant design for Wolverine, which we’re excited to reveal here.

As you may recall, Deadpool & Wolverine was a crossover marvel, packed with alternate versions of popular Marvel characters making both major and minor appearances.

This Easter egg-filled spectacle thrilled fans, who saw it as a true gift. We’ve already covered many of these Easter eggs in detail,...

Concept Artist Reveals Another Scrapped Alternative Design for Wolverine that Was Considered for the Movie
Image
Among the three major comic book adaptations coming out this year, Deadpool & Wolverine is actually the only one that fulfilled its expectations as both the fans and critics were satisfied with the final product.

It also became the second highest-earning film of the year. the sequel to Joker failed, and Venom 3 will probably earn some money and gain the sympathy of viewers, but the critics have panned it.

Namely, as it has been confirmed, the official art book from the movie has been released, containing concept art, sketches, and previously unseen materials from the production of the movie. One of these sketches shows an unused variant of Wolverine, which we are going to present to you here.

As you probably remember, Deadpool & Wolverine was a crossover marvel, with many alternative versions of numerous Marvel characters appearing in the movie in bigger or smaller roles.

This was a delight for the fans,...

Deadpool & Wolverine Concept Art Reveals Another Scrapped Logan Variant With Ties To Captain America
Image
The Art of Deadpool and Wolverine book is now available, and Marvel Studios concept artist Andy Park has shared his scrapped design for yet another Logan variant that didn't make the final cut of the movie.

The Merc With a Mouth encounters several alternate reality version of Wolverine in one of the film's most memorable sequences, including Age of Apocalypse Wolvie, Patch, the Cavillrine (Man of Steel star Henry Cavill), and others. Now, Park has revealed that a take on the mutant hero from Uncanny X-Men #268 was also considered.

There's a good chance long-time X-Men fans will recognize this design, as the issue is significant for featuring a flashback to Logan's first ever meeting with Captain America.

"The Art of Deadpool and Wolverine is officially out," Park captioned his post. "More Wolverine variant concept designs I did for the film. This one was from one of my favorite Uncanny X-Men...

Deadpool & Wolverine Concept Art Gives Logan His Mask Much Sooner As Film Crosses Another Box Office Benchmark
Image
Deadpool & Wolverine is already available on Digital and hits DVD and Blu-ray next week. Despite that, there are quite a few people still heading to theaters to watch the R-Rated Marvel Studios threequel.

This past weekend, the movie reached $699.4 million at the international box office and $635.3 million domestically. Now, with a $1,334.6 billion total worldwide, it's managed to pass Star Wars: The Last Jedi to become the 20th highest-grossing movie of all time.

That's a phenomenal result for Deadpool & Wolverine and one which cements its place in history as one of the biggest blockbusters ever.

With any luck, this means Marvel Studios will make more R-Rated movies when the occasion calls for it. The Deadpool threequel may have earned more with a PG-13 rating but it wouldn't have been the same and benefitted greatly from being able to push the boundaries.

The planned Blade reboot is expected to be...

The MCUs Unused Kang Designs Wouldve Prevented Marvel's Unresolved Avengers 5 Problem
Image
Avengers 5 had a problem that a collection of unused designs for Kang the Conqueror would have solved if the MCU had made a slightly different choice. Before San Diego Comic Con 2024 officially changed its title to Avengers: Doomsday, the fifth Avengers movie (and first within the Multiverse Saga) was titled Avengers: The Kang Dynasty and would have featured Kang the Conqueror - previously portrayed by Jonathan Majors - as its arch villain. A series of events in 2023 would, however, lead to Jonathan Majors' arrest, conviction, and firing from the MCU.

This posed a significant issue for Marvel Studios, as Majors' Kang and his variants had already debuted in Loki and Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. With Jonathan Majors' departure, it quickly became apparent that Marvel would have to recast the role. While Marvel has yet to do so - suggesting that Kang may be quietly pushed aside entirely within...

Deadpool & Wolverine Concept Art Shows Off An Unused Logan Variant From X-Men: Apocalypse
Image
The gargantuan box office success of "Deadpool & Wolverine" is both a blessing and a curse. If you're a Marvel Cinematic Universe fan, your beloved franchise has been saved by the Merc with the Mouth following a rocky few years that had many questioning whether the MCU was petering out. But if you're an MCU fan that fondly recalls the early years of the franchise, when the movies had a tad more in the way of story and character development, the success of "Deadpool & Wolverine" might be slightly concerning. That is to say that if "Spider-Man: No Way Home" and Ryan Reynolds' latest box office juggernaut are anything to go by, future Marvel Studios films — and, god forbid, blockbusters in general — might well devolve into simple montages of various cameos in an attempt to keep the money rolling in.

Regardless of how you feel about that particular nightmare future,...

Deadpool & Wolverine Concept Art Reveals A Scene Not In The Movie And Hugh Jackman's Age Of Apocalypse Variant
Image
The "Art of" book for Deadpool & Wolverine goes on sale next month and Phil Saunders has just shared one of his keyframes for the movie.

This didn't make it into the threequel but, as the artist explains, "My first job was to visualize [a] homage to the iconic DeNiro/Pacino scene from Michael Mann’s 'Heat,' but with Deadpool opposite Wolvey at Kate Mantelini’s."

"I tried to put in as much character as I could and find a moment that would sum up their dynamic," Saunders continues. "I thought this would be *exactly* how a 'stealing fries' moment would work out between them."

It's a beautiful piece of artwork and one we'd imagine was used to try and find a feel for what Wade Wilson and Logan would look like on screen and how they'd interact.

Avengers 2012's Circle Scene Imagined With 60s Avengers And 70s Justice League Teams Is A Comic Fan's Dream Come True
Image
Stunning art imagines Marvel and DC's most notable heroes, in their comic-inspired designs, teaming-up in parodies of the iconic circle scene from 2012's The Avengers. In the comics, the Justice League, which debuted in 1960, came before the Avengers in 1963, and its own predecessor, the Justice Society of America, came two decades earlier. Even though the Justice League came earlier, in live-action, the Avengers in the MCU have been a far more successful property, and have contributed to some of the most memorable moments in cinema history.

One of these moments was included in 2012's The Avengers, the titular team's first movie together. Banding together against Loki and his Chitauri army in New York, the McU's original Avengers team formed a tight circle, with the camera panning round them, forming this now-iconic team-up scene. This scene has been parodied in art shared by Kerry Cullen.

Deadpool & Wolverine's Unused Avengers Crossover Plan Would Have Been The McU's Across The Spider-Verse
Image
New concept art from Deadpool & Wolverine shows Deadpool traveling to an animated, Marvel Comics-inspired universe to join the Avengers. The animated Avengers are drawn in the styles of some of Marvel Comics' most notable artists, including Jack Kirby, Jim Lee and Rob Liefeld. It would have been great to see Deadpool crossover into animation, just as Doctor Strange and America Chavez did in Phase 4, but in a very different way to Sony's Spider-Verse movies.

Marvel Studios' original Avengers team almost made an appearance in Deadpool & Wolverine, and this would have put a great animated twist on Wade Wilson's MCU debut. Deadpool & Wolverine Concept Art Reveals A Brilliant Universe We Never Got To See
Image
"Deadpool & Wolverine" isn't shy about taking shots at the shortcomings of Marvel Studios in recent years. Not only does Wade Wilson welcome Logan to the Marvel Cinematic Universe by informing him that he's joining at a bit of a low point, but along with a perfect observation about "The Wizard of Oz," Wade tries to stop the recently arrived Deadpool Corps. from giving them trouble on Earth-10005 by mentioning the disappointing chapters of The Multiverse Saga. Deadpool (courtesy of Ryan Reynolds) also describes the ongoing comic book franchise as having "miss after miss after miss," and he's not entirely wrong, as the box office and reviews have proven several times over.

However, "Deadpool & Wolverine" almost included an amazing parallel universe that could have opened the door to a whole new division of Marvel movies that could really shake up the creative side of the studio.

Deadpool & Wolverine Concept Art Reveals Unused 'Marvel Comics Universe' Variants
Image
New concept artwork has been revealed for Deadpool & Wolverine, highlighting another cameo idea that didn't make the cut. This one would have seen variants of The Avengers characters in the MCU, but wearing outfits honoring various comic book legends.

On Instagram, artist Andy Park shared a look at his concept artwork for the cameo ahead of its publishing in the upcoming book The Art of Deadpool & Wolverine. The art reveals Deadpool joining the characters of The Avengers as seen in the 2012 film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but their outfits have been replaced, making them look more like the classic versions of the superheroes as seen in comic book stories from years past. They include retro versions of Thor, Captain America, Black Widow, Hawkeye, Hulk, and Iron Man.

Deadpool & Wolverine Concept Art Sees Wade Wilson Meet The Avengers In The Marvel Comics Universe!

Deadpool & Wolverine Concept Art Reveal Deadpool's Rob Liefeld-Inspired Suit And Another Scrapped Variant
Image
Deadpool & Wolverine respects the comic books in a big way, though Marvel Studios Director of Visual Development Andy Park has just shared some unused designs which bring Rob Liefeld's '90s designs to life in the MCU.

Adapting the Merc with the Mouth's original comic book uniforms, the artist says these were meant as "variations of Deadpool's costume for a fun sequence. So I had to create these versions playing with classic Liefeld-isms like exaggerated muscles, pouches, swords, shoulder pads, his original costume color breakups and original eye shape."

It doesn't sound like these were meant to be members of the Deadpool Corps; instead, we'd guess the idea was for Wade Wilson to try on a variety of costumes in the Tva before settling on the one which made the final cut.

Liefeld left a comment on the post saying, "So ridiculously proud of you Andy. You make [me] so proud.

Deadpool & Wolverine Concept Art Reveals Final Two Designs For The Merc With The Mouth's Costume
Image
As much fun as it's been to see new behind-the-scenes photos from Deadpool & Wolverine, it's arguably the concept art that's proving the most fun to delve into.

Today, Marvel Studios Director of Visual Development Andy Park has shared the final two designs for Wade Wilson's first MCU costume. At first glance, you may struggle to tell the difference. However, there are quite a few noteworthy differences.

On the version which didn't make it into Deadpool & Wolverine, we see that the Merc with the Mouth has brown shoulder straps and quite a bit more black on the suit from the thighs down. Some red parts are also quite a bit busier on the unused design.

Ultimately, we'd say the version we got to see on screen is the superior one. You can compare them both in the Instagram post below and make up your own minds down in the comments section.

Deadpool & Wolverine Star Ryan Reynolds Explains Why They Didn't Show Logan In The Super Bowl Trailer
Image
Deadpool & Wolverine has so far grossed a massive $1.086 billion at the worldwide box office and shows no sign of slowing down. In contrast to The Marvels, for example, the movie's marketing campaign has been incredible and no doubt helped to massively increase interest in an already very exciting movie.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the threequel's brand partnerships are valued at $135 million, while Disney spent upwards of $100 million on marketing (the norm for a summer blockbuster).

Ryan Reynolds was at the forefront of that along with his own marketing company, Maximum Effort.

The actor says, "To me, the biggest challenge was avoiding the more R-rated marketing instincts of Deadpool. The marketing was meant to feel all-audience audience as opposed to leaning into a specific comedy, action or superhero genre."

"The selection of collaborations sent a message about how broad we wanted to go - Heinz, Dave&Busters, NatGeo, TCM, and...

Deadpool & Wolverine: Alternate Wolverine Costume Designs Make Fan-Pleasing Change To Suit Not In The Movie
Image
We've seen a great many pieces of concept art from Deadpool & Wolverine over the past week or two but this latest batch might be the one that generates the most debate among fans.

Over the years, Marvel Studios has dreamed up some of the best superhero costumes to ever grace the screen. However, if there's one recurring complaint, it's that they're often a little too busy or over-designed.

Logan's suit in Deadpool & Wolverine has been widely praised for how it adheres to the comics. However, the McU's approach to costume design also saw the blue spikes on either side of his torso incorporated in a somewhat overly complicated manner.

That's evident from Marvel Studios Director of Visual Development Andy Park's alternate takes on Wolverine's blue and yellow suit. In the pieces below, the clawed mutant just has the simple blue spikes and they not only work...

Deadpool & Wolverine Concept Art Reveals Best Look Yet At Hugh Jackman's Comic-Accurate "Short King" Logan
Image
For years, fans have complained that Hugh Jackman is too tall to play Wolverine. At 6 feet 3 inches, he is indeed a whole foot taller than the comic book version of the character, but would such a diminutive Logan work on screen?

Deadpool & Wolverine set out to answer that by introducing the clawed mutant's "Short King" Variant. As the Merc with the Mouth scoured the Multiverse for a Wolverine who could replace Earth-100005's anchor, he encountered a pint-sized Logan who...well, didn't exactly measure up!

At first glance, he seemed perfect; younger than the Wolverine Variant that Wade ends up with, he's also jacked. Alas, he's just too small.

Deadpool & Wolverine Concept Art Reveals Alternate Designs For Henry Cavill's Cavillrine Cameo And More
Image
The latest round of Deadpool & Wolverine concept art shifts the spotlight to the movie's most surprising Variant: The Cavillrine!

Thanks to Wes Burt, we get to see some of the alternate ideas considered for Henry Cavill's Wolverine, though there's nothing too drastically different. We'd say just the vest was the right movie; it allowed the actor to show off his impressive biceps and a shirt like that would have inevitably led to Clark Kent comparisons.

Take a closer look at The Cavillrine below along with Burt's take on the Merc with the Mouth's meeting with a very dead Wolverine from 2017's Logan.

this was a quite a fun one when it landed in my hands to do some concept-ing, more in the upcoming artbook for Deadpool & Wolverine pic.twitter.com/G0zHXJjiTi

Deadpool & Wolverine Concept Art Includes Ghost Rider & Daredevil in Battle Scene
Image
This story contains spoilers for Deadpool & Wolverine.

While uniting Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman was the biggest draw for fans with Deadpool & Wolverine, the film was made all the better with the special guest appearances from major Marvel movie actors from the past. However, there were a couple of notable names who didn't make the cut.

After the movie's release, fans observed the absence of both Ben Affleck's Daredevil and Nicolas Cage's Ghost Rider. Reynolds and the writers of the film have confirmed that each cameo was considered early into the writing process, though neither made it very far. Now, concept art shared by Marvel Studios Visual Development Supervisor Rodney Fuentebella (per Screen Rant) reveals Daredevil and Ghost Rider included in a big battle that also features the returning heroes who did make the cut: Jennifer Garner's Elektra, Wesley Snipes' Blade, and Chris Evans' Human Torch. Fuentebella...

Deadpool & Wolverine Concept Art Includes Ben Affleck's Daredevil & Nicolas Cage's Ghost Rider

What happens when the most improvisation-heavy superhero studio around meets the Merc with a Mouth, the most chaotic superhero of them all? By the looks of things, you get an ambitious production like "Deadpool & Wolverine" where, at some point, it seems as if anything and everything was probably on the table. The final version of the team-up movie we ended up with is practically bursting with cameos and Easter eggs. Chris Evans' reappearance as Johnny Storm would've been a massive coup all on its own, but director Shawn Levy and star/co-writer Ryan Reynolds went the extra mile to recruit even more blockbuster castoffs, including the likes of Jennifer Garner's Elektra, Channing Tatum's Gambit, and, of course, Wesley Snipes' unfailingly badass Blade.

Yet that hardly even scratches the surface of all the concepts tossed around for what "Deadpool & Wolverine" could've potentially been. Even on a standard Marvel Cinematic Universe movie,...

Deadpool & Wolverine Remains #1 For Third Weekend In North America; New Concept Art, Stills, And More Released
Image
Deadpool & Wolverine crossed $1 billion at the worldwide box office yesterday, but there was a battle in North America between Ryan Reynolds and his wife (who also voiced Lady Deadpool) Blake Lively.

The latter's new movie, It Ends With Us, significantly exceeded expectations and grossed $50 million over the weekend. Initially, it looked like that might be enough to dethrone the Marvel Studios movie, but no, it remained #1 for a third weekend in a row with $54 million according to Fandango.

However, Deadpool & Wolverine will not remain atop the box office this weekend because Alien: Romulus is expected to head straight to #1. 20th Century Studios is owned by Disney, of course, so the House of Mouse wins either way.

In other news, Deadpool & Wolverine director Shawn Levy has taken to X to share some awesome behind-the-scenes images from The Void which primarily feature the movie's two leads.

Deadpool & Wolverine Concept Art Reveals Another Scrapped Variant: X-Baby Wolverine!
Image
Deadpool & Wolverine's Variants were among the best we've seen in the MCU, particularly those played by Hugh Jackman. In a memorable montage set to "The Power Of Love," the Merc with the Mouth encountered several different Logans...and got impaled by all of them!

Now, Marvel Studios Director of Visual Development Andy Park has shared a first look at a Wolverine Variant that didn't make the cut.

"X-Baby Wolverine! This is not in the film, but how fun would it have been to see this Mojo X-Baby come to life?" the artist asked on his Instagram page. "I was huge fan of what [Chris Claremont] [and] [Arthur Adams] did in those Uncanny X-Men annuals!"

He concluded by reminding fans, "This piece ([and] more) will also be included in the upcoming The Art of Deadpool and Wolverine."

It appears a lot of wacky ideas were considered for Deadpool & Wolverine's Variants...

Deadpool & Wolverine Concept Art Reveals A Wolverine Variant That Didn't Make The Final Cut
Image
We've been treated to heaps of Deadpool & Wolverine behind-the-scenes photos over the past week or two but Marvel Studios' incredibly talented concept artists are now getting in on the action.

Andy Park, Marvel Studios Director of Visual Development, has shared his take on Old Man Logan, a Variant that paid homage to the comic book by Mark Millar and Steve McNiven.

Wes Burt, meanwhile, has revealed Wolverine in the iconic brown and tan suit, Patch, the Age of Apocalypse Logan, and a Variant who didn't make the final cut.

That version of the clawed mutant is based on the relatively obscure WildC.A.T.s/X-Men crossover from the late 90s and would have been fun to see on screen (despite not being quite as instantly recognisable). There was only room for so many, though, and Marvel Studios picked well.

Shared onto Instagram, the first slide sees Wolverine in the brown and tan costume both with and without his mask, while the next two switch between that. In the upload's description, Park avowed, "Deadpool And Wolverine film concept art I did coming your way in the days to come! Lfg! Let's start with Wolverine! Wolverine Goes Full Brown and Tan in New Deadpool & Wolverine Concept Art

Hugh Jackman has been playing Wolverine for more than 20 years now, and one of his most iconic looks just got a peek behind the curtain. Andy Park, Director of Visual Development at Marvel Studios, has shared a new look at Deadpool & Wolverine concept art on his personal Instagram account. The new concept art shows Jackman's Wolverine in the classic comic book brown and tan suit, the same one which he wears in the movie briefly to take on the Hulk. Wolverine fans have been waiting for years to see Jackman suited up in a comic-accurate suit, and we were gifted with not one, but several iconic comic book outfits, including the classic blue and yellow, brown and tan, and even Patch, the variant of Wolverine who wears a white suit and an eye patch.

Deadpool & Wolverine Concept Art Adds A Mask To Brown And Tan Suit; Deadpool Corps Revealed In BTS Photo
Image
As Deadpool & Wolverine gears up for its third weekend in theaters, more new content from the movie has been revealed today courtesy of MCU concept artists Ryan Meinerding and Andy Park.

The latter has revealed the John Byrne-inspired brown and tan suit in its entirety; we got to see that when the Merc with the Mouth was on the hunt for a Wolverine Variant; the difference here, though, is that we see the addition of Logan's iconic mask!

Like many of you, we're hoping and praying that Hugh Jackman's Wolverine will don this suit again for a clash with The Hulk.

As for Meinerding, he's taken to Instagram to post the final version of the clawed mutant's blue and yellow suit. It's a gorgeous piece of artwork and a mere sneak peek at what will be contained within the upcoming "Art of" book.

Thunderbolts* Theory Claims Kevin Feige Has a Sinister Plan to Introduce 1 Spider-Man Villain That’ll Explain the Deliberate Asterisk
Image
Reintroducing villains or anti-heroes from former movies hasn’t really been MCU’s style ever since it was kicked off with Iron Man back in 2008. Characters like Loki and Bucky Barnes have been an exception in Marvel’s Cinematic Universe as they have already redeemed themselves in multiple movies and series over the years.

Marvel’s Thunderbolts*

However, we are all set to see multiple anti-heroes from former Marvel movies reprise their role and combine their forces to take down a greater threat in the upcoming film, Thunderbolts*.

Kevin Feige opens up about the asterisk in Thunderbolts*

Thunderbolts is the name of an anti-hero team appearing in Marvel comics that mostly consists of reformed supervillains. A film of the same name is also currently under development that will most probably explore the origins of this anti-hero team.

How The MCU Is Already Getting The X-Men Right
Image
Marvel Studios appears to be committed to recreating the original comic book versions of the X-Men characters. The inclusion of mutants in the MCU is hotly anticipated, and Marvel is taking steps to ensure a successful introduction. Marvel seems willing to incorporate elements from the previous Fox X-Men movies while also making changes to fit the MCU.

The X-Men have barely entered the MCU at this point, but it already seems like Marvel is committed to getting them right. One of the biggest indications of this so far is the appearance of the X-men characters that have been revealed. It's clear from the design of these characters that Marvel is trying to recreate the original comic book versions. This is a far cry from the original Fox X-Men movies, which seemed very reluctant to make anything too colorful.

Right now, Beast is the only one of the X-Men to officially appear in the MCU,...

Avengers 5 Can Finally Make Use Of An Unused 11-Year-Old Hawkeye Plot Promise
Image
Avengers: The Kang Dynasty could tie up loose ends and deliver a long-awaited future for Hawkeye in the MCU. The film has the potential to make Clint Barton a team leader, building upon his character development in previous movies and the Hawkeye series. Hawkeye doesn't need to lead the Avengers to have a fulfilling future, as the MCU has shown a willingness to introduce different teams, providing Hawkeye with an opportunity to lead another team while a major character leads the core Avengers.

Avengers: The Kang Dynasty could pay off a Hawkeye MCU story that was first teased over a decade ago. While the line-up for Avengers 5 has not yet been officially confirmed by Marvel Studios, Clint Barton is expected to return alongside other former Avengers like Thor and Bruce Banner/Hulk. Despite Avengers 5's production problems of late, the film is still scheduled for a 2026 release date that could...

New Love & Thunder Concept Art Reveals Just How Powerful Thor's Adopted Daughter Really Is
Image
Thor's adopted daughter, Love, may possess incredible power, as concept art suggests she shares a cosmic connection with Eternity. Being reborn via Eternity implies significant implications for Love's abilities, potentially surpassing even Thor's power. The true nature of Love's relationship with Eternity and her role as Gorr's daughter remains a mystery, but hopefully, future appearances will provide clarification.

There is much mystery surrounding Thor's adopted daughter, Love, following her bittersweet introduction in Thor: Love and Thunder, but some recently shared concept art may have revealed just how powerful she is. The heart-wrenching final moments of the movie that saw Thor bid farewell to Jane Foster also saw him step up to become the guardian of Gorr's recently resurrected daughter, Love. The means through which she was revived, however, aren't exactly something that can be breezed over.

Hercules Concept Art Reveals Best Look Yet At Possible Thor 5 Villain

Hercules, played by Brett Goldstein, made a brief debut in the MCU and may have a bigger role in Thor 5 if the film moves forward. Marvel Studios' Director of Visual Development, Andy Park, shared concept art on Instagram, giving fans a detailed look at Hercules in Thor: Love and Thunder. While Hercules may not be the main villain in Thor 5, there is speculation that the film could adapt the Marvel Comics Siege storyline, and he could end up helping Thor.

Hercules concept art reveals a detailed look at the possible Thor 5 villain after his brief Marvel Cinematic Universe debut.
