Liliya was born and raised in Naberezhnye Chelny, Russia, an industrial
city 1000 km east of Moscow. She never knew her father and her mother
raised her alone. When she was a little girl she watched American
movies in second-hand clothes, and dreamt of being dressed like the
beautiful stars. At age seven she started to knit and sew, making
clothes for dolls, and by age 14 she was making clothes for adult
clients. She received a degree in Industrial Engineering from the
College of Light Industry, with a specialty in Clothing Manufacturing.
After Liliya moved to US she started two businesses, a translation company and a flower delivery service. She managed over 350 agents in Russia, Ukraine and other 9 countries in the former Soviet Union.
Still unsatisfied, Liliya started to model and enrolled in an acting class. She enjoyed it and proceeded to study Stanislavskiy, Meisner and Method acting to develop her own technique. She is also a student of improvisation and sketch comedy at Improv Olympic West. Liliya has performed in local theater around Los Angeles and has performed in independent film and commercial projects. She is currently a member of the Actor's Network.
She was a competition swimmer in Russia from age seven to fourteen and she likes to swim in her spare time. When she isn't working or swimming she likes to learn about new cities and countries. Her hobby is collecting unique maps of the world.
Liliya is fluent in both English and Russian, and being from the Tatarstan Region of Russia she can also speak the ancient language of Tatar.
Liliya currently resides in Los Angeles, California, USA.
