Omar Paz Trujillo was born and raised in the Española Valley of northern New Mexico - which the Trujillo Family has called home for over 400 years - instilling in him strong ties to his family, cultures, and land.
Omar is best known for his supporting roles of "Jesse Bonez" in Lionsgate's "Blaze You Out", "Luis" in Mattel/NBC/Universal's "American Girl: Saige Paints the Sky", and "Luis DeSanto" in Sony's "Linewatch". The story behind his getting that role has a film-like quality to it as Omar was originally cast in a minor role with one line, but was later offered the role of Luis DeSanto after being asked to read Luis' lines at the film's table read.
"Linewatch" was followed up with roles in "Terminator Salvation" with Christian Bale, WWE Studios' "The Reunion" with John Cena, and the film adaptation of Novelist Judy Blume's "Tiger Eyes".
Most recently, Omar filmed his first Lead Role in Donald F. Glut's "Dances with Werewolves", playing the hero, Dr. Jay Nightraven, a paranormal investigator of Native American descent looking into murders around Los Angeles.
Omar is extremely passionate about preserving the cultural land-based traditions of northern New Mexico and does his part by working his family's ancestral land which focuses on the growing of native crops including the famous Chimayo Chile. Omar's other passions include singing, writing, photography, and traveling the world.
