Liam attended university in Austin, Tx before pursuing a career in technology. In 1998 he moved to the United Kingdom where he worked until 2001. Liam then relocated to Tokyo, Japan and lived there for a year before returning to UK.

Liam began his film career in 2007 with his directorial debut, a 30 second teaser trailer for Penguin Books.
