Dom Cutrupi is an Italian-Canadian director, screenwriter, and producer who began his career in Italy working in television and theatre before moving to Vancouver, where he directed and produced over 200 commercials and corporate videos.
In 2018, he entered the narrative space with the award-winning sci-fi short Yokomeshi and the dark comedy web series Edible People. His first feature film, Residents of Arcadia, was released in 2022, followed by the identity-theft thriller Lola Dust (2025), which explores the unsettling implications of deepfakes. His third feature film is a contemporary musical titled So Glad You Came.
In 2024, Cutrupi began directing for the fast-growing vertical series format. His second vertical mini-drama, Mafia's Tender Torture (produced by StardustTV), became the most-watched vertical series in the world outside of China in 2025, firmly establishing his name in the space. He has since directed several other popular vertical series, including Sleeping for 30 Years, My Brother's Regret (DramaWave), You Fired a Genius Surgeon (ReelShort), Crashed Into My Magnate Ex (ShortMax), and The Billionaire's Second Wife (DramaBox).
Today, Dom Cutrupi is recognized as one of the most prominent and sought-after directors in the world of vertical storytelling, bridging cinematic narrative with cutting-edge formats.
