Biography

    • Robin Cloud, a polymath in the realms of directing, writing, and comedy, stands as an award-winning force in television and film. A recent graduate of the American Film Institute's Directing Workshop for Women, Cloud has etched her name in the industry with several films premiering at renowned festivals such as BFI, Tribeca Film Festival, TIFF, and NewFest.

Her film "This Old House" captivates audiences on Hulu, while the powerful docu-series "Passing: A Family in Black & White" debuted at the Tribeca Film Festival and is available on Amazon. Robin Cloud continues to be a trailblazer, seamlessly blending humor, storytelling, and visual artistry in her impactful body of work. Notably, she is the 2023 Blacklist x WIF Feature Residency Writer Fellow, where she honed her feature film "About Face," a queer coming-of-age tale set in 1990s Hartford, CT.

Recently, Robin was one of six directors chosen to commemorate Warner Brothers' 100th anniversary. With her next project, she will be breathing new life into the classic film "Calamity Jane."

In addition, Cloud is a Kickstarter Creative Fellow, an alumna of Lena Waithe's Hillman Grad mentee program, and a fellow in the Alliance for Women's Black Directors Initiative. As the founder of Cloud Creative Media, her production company focuses on crafting independent scripted and documentary series and films.

She is represented by Metamorphic Entertainment.
