Juliana Araripe is a brazilian screenwriter, actress, producer and TV host.

Beyond her theater training in Rio de Janeiro, she worked as a TV host for brazilian cable provider Sky, as well as cable sports network Bandsports, and the program "Sexo no Sofá", on networks Glitz and Futura. Araripe also worked as host and writer for Food Network Brazil in 2013 and 2014.

Between 2006 and 2008, she starred in "Mothern", which premiered on cable channel GNT. The series was nominated twice for the International Emmys. Araripe also served as a collaborating screenwriter on the series.

Before that, she worked as a writer on Nickelodeon Brazil's "Patrulha Nick", between 2004 and 2005, and in 2013, on Fox's "A Vida de Rafinha Bastos". Araripe also wrote for print publications such as newspaper "Valor Econômico" and GQ Magazine, where she wrote a sex column. Back to TV, she was a writer on TV Cultura's "Terradois", a cultural debate program with Maria Fernanda Cândido and Jorge Forbes, which won the APCA Award for Best TV Program in 2017.

Araripe acted, produced and wrote the comedy play "Confissões de Mulheres de 30", alongside legendary brazilian playwright Domingos de Oliveira. The show ran from 2008 to 2012 and was universally hailed by the audience and the critics, with over three hundred thousand spectators. With Oliveira, Araripe also penned the film adaptation of the play, one of the last original works Domingos de Oliveira worked on before his passing in 2019 - the adaptation is yet to be produced.

She created, produced and starred in the original play "Afrodite Já Tinha Celulite", which ran in 2013 and 2014. In 2018, Araripe wrote her first book, the crônica collection "Errando na Mosca", published by Editora Realejo. That same year, she worked as a collaborating screenwriter on "Todas as Canções de Amor", with Bruno Gagliasso and Mariana Ruy Barbosa, directed by Joana Mariana. The film won the Best Picture award at the 2019 São Paulo International Film Festival and at the FestinLisboa, in Lisbon, Portugal. Also in 2018, she wrote the comedy play "Que Tal Nós Dois", with Carolina Ferraz, which ran from march until december.

Araripe joined the writing staff for the second season of "Homens?", in 2020. A comedy series starring Fábio Porchat, directed by Johnny Araújo and Gigi Soares. The same year, she was a writer and actress for Pandêmicos, a comedy sitcom centering around the COVID-19 pandemic in Brazil released on Prime Video.

In August, 2023, she also wrote the comedy feature "Vai Ter Troco", with Marcos Veras and Miá Mello, directed by Maurício Eça. She also wrote "Férias Trocadas', a comedy directed by Bruno Barreto, set to premiere in December 2023. Between 2022 and 2023, Araripe worked as a writer on the series "Amor da Minha Vida", starring Bruna Marquezine, directed by René Sampaio and Matheus Souza, which is set to premiere on Star+ in 2024.
