Gōshō Aoyama is best known as the author of the long-running Detective Conan manga series, but fans of Aoyama will know that he has written other works as well, among which is the popular samurai manga Yaiba.

We have reported how a new Yaiba anime series is premiering on April 6, 2025, and the producers have already revealed a series of new information about the upcoming series, but there is still room for more.

Namely, the producers have confirmed that -otoha- will perform the anime’s ending song, which is going to be titled “Pineapple Tart.” No video has been released as of the time of writing.

As you probably know by know, Yaiba: Samurai Legend is premiering on April 5, 2025, and the fans are excited. Created by Detective Conan creator Gōshō Aoyama, Yaiba is a very funny and interesting samurai story that fans love.

This new anime will bring a fresh take on the popular Y∀Iba series, which follows the titular Yaiba Kurogane in his quest to become a samurai in a modern world, as he knows basically nothing else.

This is not the first Y∀Iba anime adaptation, but this one promises to refresh the series and add something to Aoyama’s already wonderful world.

The powerhouse production company's adaptation of Gosho Aoyama's late-'80s manga, titled Yaiba: Samurai Legend, has been officially announced for an April streaming arrival on the platform.

Viewers across the United States, Canada, Latin America, Australia and New Zealand will soon be able to take in the newest take on the cult classic, as Netflix and Hulu have secured distribution rights for Yaiba: Samurai Legend. Hulu will only stream the series in select areas, but both platforms will receive episodes on the first day following their airing on Japan's Nippon TV.

The latest Detective Conan episode wrapped up with an unexpected treat—a crossover video announcing that Shin Samurai-den Yaiba, a brand-new anime based on Gōshō Aoyama’s Yaiba manga, is officially set to premiere on April 5.

The show will air on Ytv, Ntv, and affiliated networks across Japan at 5:30 p.m. (4:30 a.m. Edt), leading directly into Detective Conan at 6:00 p.m. (5:00 a.m. Est). With this, the ‘Gōshō Aoyama Hour’ programming block is born!

Before the TV debut, fans will get an early look at the first three episodes. March 13 marks the day when Shin Samurai-den Yaiba will hit 10 Toho Cinemas locations. The upcoming anime series, 7th Time Loop: The Villainess Enjoys a Carefree Life Married to Her Worst Enemy! has released its first promotional video ahead of its release in January 2024.

7th Time Loop dropped the promo video on YouTube. The first key visual for the anime series has also gained release. Mariya Ise and Shunichi Toki have joined the cast to play Theodor August Hein and Oliver Laurents Friedheim, respectively. The popular slice-of-life rom-com manga Teasing Master Takagi-San is set to conclude this fall.

According to Anime News Network, the September 2023 issue of Monthly Shonen Sunday announced that Soichiro Yamamoto's manga Teasing Master Takagi-San would conclude in the publication's November issue, which launches on Oct. 12. Currently, 19 volumes of the manga have been released in Japan. Yen Press, which publishes the series' English version, released the manga's 17th volume on April 18, 2023. Vol. 18 is scheduled to release on Jan. 23 of next year.

Get ready to learn how to say “what the hell just happened?” in Japanese. “Neon Genesis Evangelion,” one of the most acclaimed — and straight up weird — works in anime history, will be available to stream globally for the first time when it debuts on Netflix in 2019.

The announcement came during Netflix’s Anime Lineup Presentation, held Tuesday in Tokyo.

Produced by Gainax and Tatsunoko Production, “Neon Genesis Evangelion” originally aired on TV Tokyo from October 1995 to March 1996. Set in the far-future year of 2015, the show tracks a war between humans, defended by pilots who control giant bio-machines called “Evangelions,” and aliens called “Angels.” Drawing imagery from Kabbalah, Christianity and Judaism, “Evangelion” is particularly celebrated — and notorious — for its insane ending. During their Anime Lineup Presentation event at the Akiba Theatre in Tokyo today, Netflix unveiled their slate of Anime programming for 2019.

The new lineup is an expansion of their successful original Anime programming which includes Devilman Crybaby and B: the Beginning. Netflix announced that they would be revisiting some of the most beloved stories that many Anime fans already know and love, including Ultraman, Neon Genesis Evangelion and Saint Seiya: Knights of the Zodiac.

The news comes after Netflix made their first-ever Asia showcase earlier this month where they announced the addition of Pacific Rim, Altered Carbon, Cagaster of an Insect Cage, Yasuke, and Trese to their anime slate. The slate continues Netflix’s global reach when it comes to original content, telling stories from Japan, Taiwan, Thailand and South Korea.
