Re-recording mixer and sound editor, Lindsey Alvarez grew up in a musical household singing 4-part harmony with her sisters while her mother accompanied them on a piano. This foundation spurred a passion for music that lead to a collegiate scholarship for clarinet performance. Her love of movies, however, began before she could barely spell - roaming the aisles of her father's video store in her pre-teen summers. After graduating from the University of Miami's program in Music Engineering Technology and Computer Science in 2005, she started work at Lime Studios in Santa Monica. There, she mixed award winning commercial campaigns for the likes of Coke, Microsoft, and Old Spice. In 2013, she moved into the world of film and TV. At Bad Robot, she collaborated with director JJ Abrams for the sound of BB-8 in "Star Wars The Force Awakens". Her work was featured in 60 Minutes and Post Magazine. She has won a Golden Reel award for her dialog editing in "War for the Planet of the Apes". She was also nominated for her work on the film, "10 Cloverfield Lane", and the TV shows, "Only Murders in the Building" and "The Alienist: Angel of Darkness" for outstanding sound mix. Lindsey lives in Los Angeles with her husband, Andrew and adorable dog, Drake.
