Professional dancer and choreographer Derek Hough is going to be a dad! The Dancing with the Stars pro and his wife Hayley announced they are expecting their first baby together. The couple shared the news with a touching video on Instagram.

The couple’s slow-motion video begins with Derek walking towards his wife and the two embrace. As Hayley wraps her arms around her husband, her baby bump came into view and her hand held out a string of sonogram images. “We can’t believe the biggest thing to happen to us could be so small,” Hayley wrote in the caption. The couple didn’t reveal when their baby’s sex or when their little one is due to arrive.

Earle, 24, is one of the leading social media personalities with more than 7 million followers on TikTok and 4 million on Instagram. She created the “Hot Mess” podcast in 2023, originally part of Alex Cooper’s Unwell Network; they parted ways earlier this year. Earle first rose to fame with her “get ready with me” videos and has since landed spots on Forbes’ Top Creators and Fashion 50 lists.

As has been the case since its return to ABC in 2023, DWTS will air on the broadcast network and stream simultaneously on Disney+ next season, then stream on Hulu the following day.

The son of the late Steve Irwin, Robert made headlines earlier this month with a racy campaign for Australian underwear brand, Bonds. “Also, I’m at this point in my life where I’m trying to do as many different and random exciting things, and if it’s something that makes me a little bit nervous, that I’ve never done before and it’s a bit of an adrenaline rush? That’s what I want to be doing,” he told People.

DWTS is coming off another successful season on ABC. Season 33 ranked No. 1 this past fall among adults 18-49 in Live+Same Day viewing, marking the first time the series ranked No. 1 for the broadcast season in L+Sd in its history.

The show also attracted younger viewers in Season 33, earning its best adults 18-34 ratings in four years. And viewers definitely turned out with their votes; several records were broken throughout the season before an astonishing 32 million — another milestone — cast their final picks for the winner.

Derek Hough discovered dance as a child and chose to follow a career path as a dancer, which was not without its challenges. Hough has previously discussed how he was mercilessly bullied as a child for pursuing his passion. However, he believes that shows like the reality TV dancing competition Dancing with the Stars have helped to change the narrative surrounding men who dance.

"For me, having a platform and having a stage like Dancing with the Stars, that is elevating dance to new heights over this past, almost, 20 years," he said, per People. "I honestly was bullied as a kid going to school for being a dancer. I was picked on." He continued, "Now to see football games, basketball games, whatever it is, and they go, 'Yo, that tango was incredible, man, that was awesome.'"
