Biography

A former teacher, mascot, and assembly line worker, Jeff Bower utilizes his blue collar/small town up-bringing to create rich, nuanced characters that feel like your next door neighbor. He primarily writes dark drama and grounded sci-fi with a focus on redemption...even for the most despicable characters. He is repped by his incredible agent, Paul Weitzman, a founding partner at Culture Creative Entertainment.

Jeff Bower earned a BA in Mathematics from Binghamton and an MFA in Theatre from FAU where he received death threats for performing his graduate thesis role. Every year the "Jeff Bower Excellence in Theatre" award is bestowed upon a senior at G-Star School of the Arts where he was an original faculty member. As the Artistic Director of Rude Mechanical Productions in West Palm Beach, Jeff earned many awards and accolades as a writer, actor, director, and producer.

After relocating to Los Angeles, he graduated from the improv programs at UCB and iO West (over three years as a mainstage cast member & show host) and was invited to perform at several Los Angeles Improv & Sketch Festivals, the Pilots Live Festival, the Comedy Central Stage, and the NYC Sketch Festival. Jeff had five contest winning sketches filmed at YouTube studios and was co-creator and showrunner for an original comedy pilot produced with We Make Movies, LA.

In his spare time, Jeff became an Audible Approved audiobook narrator/producer, completing over 90 projects. During the pandemic he wrote an original radio play for Theatre Lab in Boca Raton, which received critical and commercial success and is available in mp3 format. He has a play published by Samuel French, won/placed over 75 times in various script competitions in the last five years, and still hopes to achieve his first-grade dream of growing up to be a Muppet.
