Nora Lakos is a film director, writer, and producer, also the founder of Cinemira - International Children's Film Festival in Budapest. Nora directed her debut feature film HAB / CREAM which was released in Hungarian Cinemas in September 2020 and has its HBO premiere in 2021. HAB /CREAM won 8 awards among the Best Director Award and Jury Special Award in Paris International Film Festival, Gilda Award for Best Feature in Firenze International Film Festival - Cinema e Donne, and Best Feature Film Award in New Renaissance Film Festival. Previously Nora directed award-winning short films and tv series. Recently she is in pre-production of her second feature based on the multi-award Dutch novel "How I accidentally wrote a book". Nora graduated as a film director at the University of Theatre and Film, Budapest, and also took courses in film directing at London Film School and at INSAS in Brussels. Her short films were invited to international film festivals such as Sarajevo Film Festival, Encounters, Sofia Film Festival, TIFF. She won Sarajevo City of Film special mention and British Council Short Film Award for her short film: Edina. Besides film directing Nóra founded Cinemira - the first International Children's Film Festival in Hungary in 2018. Her main goal with Cinemira is to revive the children's film genre in Hungary. Nóra is the founder of Children's Film Academy as well which organizes year-long film workshops for children and produces short films and tv series for children, as well.
