Trivia

Nathan Pham

Edit
  • Also has 3 sisters.
  • Despite not knowing the English language very well then, Lamberton, was the elementary school in the Overbrook part of Philadelphia where he first performed on stage.

Coincidentally, Seth Green was also a student and a classmate there during that time in one of his older brothers' homeroom.

Growing up, Nathan's tight-knit family moved around quite frequently in search of safe and low-rent dwellings. Subsequently, Lamberton was the fourth school that he had transferred to by the time he reached 3rd Grade.

During his last year there, he was also elected as vice president of the Student Council.
  • In 9th Grade, he transferred again to the renowned Central High School, where the legendary Bill Cosby also calls it his alma mater.
  • The name "Natan", spelled without an "H", was given to him by his Hebrew class teacher in high school. It has the meaning "Gift of God".
  • Although was raised in a Buddhist family, he graduated from Saint Joseph's University through its excellent Biology program. The same college attended by Vince Papale, who tried out for the NFL's Philadelphia Eagles in 1976 at 30 years old, that later inspired the making of the uplifting movie Invincible (2006), starring Mark Wahlberg.
  • Received his medical doctor degree from PCOM (Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine) in 2003.
  • Unexpectedly, due to a great accumulation of trials and tribulations and personal tragedies, including deaths of several of his close family members and friends, he took a sudden leave of absence from his medical residency at Warren Hospital, in Phillipsburg, NJ.
  • Literally, a few days after leaving the hospital he accidentally was re-introduced back into the world of entertainment by his teenage niece, who showed him an ad in the local newspaper looking for actors.
  • The first movie he ever saw in the theater was Indiana Jones et le Temple maudit (1984), and ever since then he has been a huge fan of the great inspiring director, Steven Spielberg.
  • Attended together with Brit Morgan from the vampire show True Blood (2008) at the Actor's Training Studio (Haddonfield, NJ).
