Dylan Barnes is a British character actor who has played lead roles in multiple award-winning films. Known for his versatility, Dylan is equally adept at playing malevolent villains or inspiring protagonists - often in difficult or challenging roles; he still remains to portray the coolest characters with calm emotional intensity and delivery. Dylan's passion and talent for acting developed from an early age. Roles in the TV adaptation of Catherine Cookson's The Black Velvet Gown (1991) provided the foundation on which he would quickly progress to acting in the gritty TV drama Our Friends In The North (1996).

Dylan worked as a musician releasing albums with bands Messiah, Bella Echoes & Feint Scars.

In 2006 Dylan took the starring role in True To Form under award-winning director Mark J Blackman.Shortly after, he played Officer Reynolds in the innovative BBC drama The Cut.

2014 saw Dylan star in the science fiction feature film Scintilla and played a significant role in the provocative short The Herd, which played at prestigious film festivals such as Cannes and Sitges, and won many awards around the world. Recently Dylan has played lead roles in various projects, including I Do Harm, Madman In A Lifeboat, Lilith, Objects To See Further and Broken.

Dylan is Co - Producer at Maladjusted Films and has written feature "All the Swans are Dying" due to be made into a feature film in the near future.
