Marvel just put Luke Cage on the same power level as Superman
Image
Marvel Comics fans know Luke Cage is powerful (hence the name Power Man). Cage has beaten The Wrecker, who loves to tell people that he has defeated Thor, and has taken on the Avengers by himself. However, he isn’t among the ten strongest characters in Marvel. Considering all of the gods, cosmic beings, and gamma-irradiated characters, it would be shocking if he made it into the Top 20. Like all things in comics, that can change and it did thanks to writers Collin Kelly and Jackson Lanzing.

The following events take place in Timeless No. 1 in 2024 by Collin Kelly and Jackson Lanzing with art by Juann Cabal with colors by Edgar Delgado.

In short, after the superheroes of the universe were conquered, Luke Cage was left with the powers of the Hulk, Sentry/Void, and Iron Fist. Yes, that’s overkill, but it was needed. Celestial Khonshu and his avatar...

Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-man Showrunner Addresses Rumors Kingpin Was Set To Appear In Season 1
Image
Before Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man premiered on Disney+, there were rumblings that Vincent D'Onofrio would lend his voice to an animated version of the Kingpin of Crime, Wilson Fisk.

It made sense with Charlie Cox's Daredevil set to appear but the series has been and gone and there was no sign of the villain currently serving as New York Mayor in Daredevil: Born Again. So, was he cut or is he being saved for a future season?

During a recent Q&a, Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man showrunner Jeff Trammell discussed adding the Man Without Fear to the show and addressed the Kingpin rumours head-on.

"[Charlie Cox] has been awesome to work with," he started. "I did not know that we would get the opportunity to have him in the show. Very early on, I was like, 'Can we use Daredevil?' And they were like, 'Yes.' I was like, 'Can I use Charlie?...

I Think Marvel Just Set Up Civil War 3 And It Could Work This Time Thanks to Wolverine
Image
Warning: Contains Spoilers for Laura Kinney: Wolverine #2

After a mission to liberate a young mutant goes awry, Wolverineunintentionally finds herself at the ground zero of an explosion that rivals the devastating blast that triggered the first Civil Wart. Tensions toward mutants have already been at an all-time high since Krakoa’s collapse and now an explosive crater in Chinatown will only exasperate preexisting fears. I think this could be the beginning of a new Marvel Civil War.

In Laura Kinney: Wolverine #2 - by Erica Schultz and Giada Belviso - Wolverine picks up the trail of an underground mutant-child smuggling operation. After teaming up with Daredevil, the two interrupt the sale of a young mutant boy. However, the boy and his handler swiftly escape, but not before Wolverine can follow their scent.

Finding herself in the middle of an anti-vigilante protest, Wolverine makes a scene, only stoking the flames of hatred and fear towards heroes,...

Deadpool and Wolverine Are Great, But Marvel's New BFFs Are Coming For Your Crowns
Image
Warning: Contains Spoilers for Laura Kinney: Wolverine #2

While Deadpool and Wolverine are an unbeatable team of toxic frenemies, Marvel’s second Wolverine has garnered a new friendship with an unlikely hero. The two share strikingly similar pasts, forged by shadowy organizations to become living weapons. One a feral X-Man and the other a ninja assassin turned hero, these two women are an unstoppable force who already deserve their own duo series.

In Laura Kinney: Wolverine #2 - by Erica Schultz and Giada Belviso - Wolverine continues her investigation into an underground mutant child smuggling operation. After picking up a lead in Hell’s Kitchen, Wolverine encounters Elektra, the current Daredevil.

Elektra is immediately resistant to Wolverine’s presence, asserting that Hell’s Kitchen already has a protector. But, once Daredevil sees the smuggling ring for herself, the duo teams up to kill the smugglers and save the child victim. While...

“Mirko deserves better”: Marvel Faces Backlash for Whitewashing My Hero Academia Characters While Paying Tribute to the Manga’s Final Volume
Image
For ages, the comics and manga industry have attracted an audience for its unique art styles and narratives. The vibrant colors and bold designs portray something truly rare. The comics industry has shown an increase in solidarity and respect for the manga industry but not without a few flaws. Marvel artists, Humberto Ramos and Edgar Delgado pay tribute to the final volume of My Hero Academia by Kohei Horikoshi.

The artwork had Black Cat in the center with Mt. Lady, Star and Stripe, Ochaco Uraraka, Tsuyu Asui, Momo Yaoyorozu, Setsuna Tokage, and Mirko accompanying her. What’s flawed in it is Mirko whose skin color in My Hero Academia is much darker than depicted in the Marvel tribute artwork and fans are calling it whitewashing.

Spider-Man Is Immune to the Infinity Stones (Until They're Combined) - Fan Theory Gets Compelling New Evidence
Image
As Spider-Man fights the Time Stone bearer, he's able to dodge attacks that come from earlier in the timeline. Spider-Man has also shrugged off the Reality Stone and Mind Stone in the past, suggesting his spider-sense gives him immunity. Amazing Spider-Man Annual #1 is coming from Marvel Comics July 3.

Peter Parker's Spider-Man is the definitive street hero, protecting the streets of New York every day. Spidey isn't exactly at home in Marvel's cosmic landscape... so why does he seem to be immune to the Infinity Stones whenever he faces them individually? Spider-Man's latest tangle with the all-powerful artifacts shows his spider-sense yet again overcoming Marvel's most powerful hunks of space rock, adding not a second but a third Infinity Stone that seemingly can't touch the Web-Head. However, there is an oft-forgotten reason Spider-Man would find himself immune to the Stones.

In a preview of Amazing Spider-Man Annual #1, Spider-Man mixes it up...

Jonah Jameson's body, creating a new, formidable version of the perennial Spidey antagonist, making him a threat to Spider-Man like never before. Jameson's long history of antagonism toward Spider-Man may make him the perfect host for Doc Ock. Despite his history as an enemy of Spider-Man, J. The latest incarnation of Marvel's Doctor Octopus has turned one of the McU's greatest villains into a next-level threat. Doctor Octopus has proven himself over the years as one of Spider-Man's most formidable foes. While he looks silly, his crimes and evil plots have proven that he's Spider-Man's strongest villain. "I Don't Believe You Can Tell the Audience That": Senior Marvel Editor Explains Why a Fan-Favorite Avengers Retcon Is Never Going to Happen
Image
Hank Pym's past abusive actions against his wife won't be retconned, as they define his character and numerous stories. Revealing Hank was replaced by a Skrull complicates his relationship with Janet, adding depth. Sometimes stories can be improved by ignoring small inconsistencies, rather than retconning them.

The Avengers have had their share of controversial moments over the years, but one of Marvels biggest editors has just explained why one particular Ant-Man moment that some fans hate isnt going to be changed. Its a great demonstration of all the behind-the-scenes thinking that goes into comics. Its also a chance to look at the larger concept of retcons and when they work, and more importantly, when they dont.

Despite her lack of superpowers in the mainstream Marvel continuity, Aunt May has long been one of the company's most recognizable characters; thanks to the Marvel Multiverse, versions of May who do have superpowers have been explored, or at least teased, in several stories over the years. Spider-Man's new sidekick Spider-Boy may not be the most welcome character in comics right now, but the young hero has a stunning ability nonetheless. Edge of Spider-Verse #3 provides a glimpse of Bailey Briggs' current life and how he fits into Marvel's timeline. More importantly, it shows a new twist on one of Spider-Man's most iconic powers.

Edge of Spider-Verse #3 includes the story 'Nobody Knows Who You Are,' which has the creative team of Dan Slott, Humberto Ramos, Wayne Faucher, Edgar Delgado, and Joe Caramagna. It focuses on Spider-Boy, who debuted in Spider-Man #7 in 2023, making him a new addition to the Spider-Verse. Nonetheless, he has a classic ability: Spider-Sense.

Spider-Man's Spider-Sense Gets a Major Upgrade

Typically, Spider-Man's Spider-Sense works by alerting him to incoming danger in his vicinity slightly before it occurs. However, it has its limitations, such as not recognizing symbiotes like Venom and being unable to help him against sufficiently super-fast opponents.
