Vihan Suryavanshi is an accomplished International Film Director and Writer with over 20 years of experience in the global film industry. Renowned for his storytelling and cinematic vision, he has worked extensively across India, Europe, Canada, Thailand, and Australia, creating diverse and impactful narratives.
His creative journey includes collaborations with celebrated filmmakers like Michael Winterbottom on A Mighty Heart (featuring Angelina Jolie, Dan Futterman, and Irfan Khan), Michael Sajbel on One Night with the King (starring Omar Sharif and Peter O'Toole), and Indian filmmaker Nagesh Kukunoor.
As the founder of Avihra Talkies, Vihan has created a range of impactful narratives across feature films, documentaries, series, and ad campaigns. His feature films, School College ani Life (2023) and Roop Nagar Ke Cheetey (2022), have earned several awards and critical acclaim for their storytelling and execution. Roop Nagar Ke Cheetey won multiple international awards, including Best Narrative Feature at the Indo French International Film Festival, the Los Angeles Film Awards, and the Athens International Art Film Festival, among others.
In addition to feature films, Vihan has directed commercials for top brands. He has also helmed public service campaigns addressing pressing social issues. His short film, The Lane @ 8am, a non-dialogue, premiered at the 3rd Eye Asian Film Festival and was showcased at various international film festivals.
Currently, Vihan is directing The Ultimate Dream, a four-episode sports drama series (English) that highlights the heart and soul of Australian grassroots soccer. Filmed in collaboration with My Dream RV Cinema, Australia and the Heidelberg United Football Club, this project captures the resilience and passion of players striving for global recognition. The series is set to release in mid-2025 and is already generating significant anticipation among global audiences.
Vihan holds a Master's in Communication Studies with a specialisation in Film Direction and Production. He has received prestigious accolades, including a special appreciation letter from Dallington TV in the UK and recognition from the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne.
