Kerry O'Brien

Press secretary to Labor leader Gough Whitlam in 1977 and for deputy leader Lionel Bowen from 1977 to 1980. During this time he earned the nickname "Red". O'Brien's father was also a foundation member of the Rockhampton branch of the Labor Party.
