Originally hailing from St. Louis, Missouri, Laura embarked on a courageous journey to Los Angeles to pursue her acting aspirations. Growing up, Laura experienced a nomadic childhood, moving across the country with her father, a university math professor, her mother, a PhD holder in Education, and their beloved Boston Terrier named Bitty. From California to Connecticut and places in between, Laura's love for travel extends to exploring her family's roots in England, Scotland, Ireland, and Scandinavia. With a deep-seated family history in the United States, dating back to the 1600s and involvement in the Revolutionary War, Laura's family journeyed west through the Appalachians and the Ozarks, ultimately some family settling in California. From her early years in Los Angeles, Laura developed a love for swimming, a hobby she has embraced since childhood. As a young cinephile, Laura's affinity for movies, especially horror films, was encouraged by her mother, who believed in fostering creativity. Laura's mother, a PhD in Education, supported her artistic endeavors in drawing and painting, leading Laura to earn a degree in Fine Art. While working as a graphic designer, Laura crossed paths with her future husband, a first-generation American who's family survived the Holocaust in Holland. Their union flourished into a family of three children: the eldest, a girl; the middle child, a special boy with Down's Syndrome; and the youngest, a boy. Laura's life journey is a testament to her resilience, creativity, and dedication to her craft, and she continues to captivate audiences with her dynamic performances in the world of entertainment. Laura is also an accomplished fashion designer, creating textile designs that have appeared internationally and have been worn by high-profile figures like Pia Lamberg and Kristy Swanson. Laura's artistic talents extend beyond acting and fashion design. As an award-winning visual artist, Laura has a BFA in Fine Art from the University of Missouri Columbia.
