Warren Brown(VII)
Warren Brown is a highly acclaimed and influential Australian cartoonist, best known for his political and editorial cartoons. He is also an author, television presenter, and vintage car enthusiast. Warren has been the editorial cartoonist for The Daily Telegraph in Sydney since its merger with the Daily Mirror in 1990. He signs his cartoons simply "Warren," and his work is a regular and prominent feature in the newspaper. He has received numerous accolades for his cartooning, including three Stanley Awards for Best Political Cartoonist (1997, 1998, 1999) from the Australian Cartoonists' Association. He has also won the Australian Cartoonists' Association Editorial Cartoonist of the Year multiple times, and other awards like Best Editorial Cartoonist News Awards and the Rothmans Gold Medallist Editorial Cartoonist and Cartoon of the Year. In 2023, he was appointed a Member of the Order of Australia (AM) for "significant service to media as a cartoonist, and to military history."
