Hansel Ramirez is a Mexican actor proud of his origins, recognized for delivering the longest spoken scene in Náhuatl in U.S. television history on American Crime (ABC), created by Academy Award® winner John Ridley and featuring Regina King. His performance in La Mitad del Mundo earned him an Ariel Award nomination for Best Actor from the The Mexican Academy of Cinematographic Arts and Sciences (AMACC) and the Tatú Tumpa Best Actor Award at the Ibero-American Film Festival in Bolivia.
On screen, Ramirez has worked across film, television, and streaming in Mexico and the United States. Notable credits include Snowfall (FX), produced by John Singleton; 13 Reasons Why (Netflix); and Flipped (Funny or Die), opposite Will Forte and Kaitlin Olson. Trained in improv at The Groundlings, he balances dramatic intensity with sharp comedic instincts.
His voiceover work includes dubbing Harrison Ford in 1923 (Paramount+), as well as roles in 1883 (Paramount+), Ubisoft's Rainbow Six Siege, and Type S: Chiaki's Journey.
As a current AMACC member, Ramirez participates in selections for the Ariel Awards and Mexico's official submissions to the Oscars and Goya Awards, continuing his mission to champion underrepresented Latino voices in storytelling.
