Dawan Owens

Standing at six feet three inches, Baltimore native, Dawan Owens for some reason has never had a problem commanding an audience's attention.

A high school standout, Dawan earned a spot on University of Pittsburgh's football and later the baseball team. "When people ask me if I played football in college, I ask them to define what they mean by 'play.' If playing means being on the team, then oh yeah, I played. But if by 'play', they mean participation in an actual intercollegiate athletic event - if they want to get all technical - I plead the fifth."

After graduating from Pitt, with a Bachelor's in Information Science, Dawan began working in Corporate America for an IT consulting firm. But he soon realized that comedy was his true calling, so he decided to pick up a microphone and go after his dream. After performing on Comedy Central's Open Mic Fight, Dawan booked his first ever acting job as a Series Regular on the scripted Untitled Bobby Lee Pilot and hasn't stopped working since.

Coming off the ABC, Kerry Washington produced, pilot Man of the House, starring Dawan alongside the likes of Alyson Hannigan and Leslie Bibb, his recent credits also include a series regular role on Tyler Perry's If Loving You Is Wrong & recurring roles on Nextflix's The Ranch, OWN's Greenleaf & Hulu's new show All Night.
