Theo James & Jasmine Blackborow Film Scenes for 'The Gentleman' Season 2 in Italy
Image
The cast of The Gentleman is taking over Italy!

Theo James and Jasmine Blackborow looked out at the sea as they filmed scenes for the upcoming second season of Guy Ritchie‘s hit Netflix series earlier this week in Verbonia, Italy.

For those scenes, Theo, 40, wore a white linen suit over a blue button down shirt while Jasmine, 33, donned a red floral-print dress.

Also this week, Theo filmed scenes around the city and was spotted aboard a boat while filming.

Here’s a season two synopsis: It’s been one year since Eddie (James) and Susie (Kaya Scodelario) joined forces to work together in Bobby’s (Ray Winstone) criminal empire overseas. As they drive to expand their enterprise, the decisions Bobby is making seem to be increasingly unsound. Now Eddie and Susie must decide whether to take action or risk losing it all, but unfettered ambition never ends well…

‘Not All New Actors’: ‘Pirates Of The Caribbean’ 6 Producer Drops Big Hint About Returning Cast
Image
Hollywood is buzzing with news about the next Pirates of the Caribbean movie. Producer Jerry Bruckheimer recently spoke about the project, giving fans some fresh details about the sixth film in the popular franchise.

While no release date is set, the team is focused on perfecting the script.

In a recent interview, Bruckheimer hinted that the movie could bring back some well-known characters. “We’ll have some back,” he said when asked if the film would feature an entirely new cast. He kept fans guessing by adding, “I’m not going to tell you which ones — you’ll have to guess.” This news has sparked excitement that some original stars might return.

The upcoming film will offer a fresh take on the Pirates story, according to Bruckheimer. “It’ll be a new take on it,” he explained, suggesting the movie won’t follow the same path as past entries.

Jerry Bruckheimer Breaks Silence on ‘Pirates Of The Caribbean’ 6 Cast: ‘Not All New Actors’ – Guess Who’s Coming Back
Image
There’s been a lot of talk about what’s going on with Pirates of the Caribbean 6, and now producer Jerry Bruckheimer has finally given fans a bit of an update. Even though the movie still doesn’t have a release date, Bruckheimer told ScreenRant that they’re working on the script and trying to get it just right.

While many people thought the next Pirates movie would have a totally new cast, that might not be the case. In an interview with ScreenRant’s Ash Crossan, Bruckheimer said some familiar faces could return.

“We’re working on a screenplay. Hopefully we’ll get it right — and then we’ll make it. We really want to make it, that’s for sure,” he said.

Pirates of the Caribbean Producer Addresses Johnny Depp's Return as Jack Sparrow
Image
Pirates of the Caribbean 6 is still navigating rough seas, but franchise producer Jerry Bruckheimer just dropped the clearest hint yet that the series won’t be charting an entirely new course. While promoting F1 — his latest movie, starring Brad Pitt and directed by Joseph Kosinski — Bruckheimer gave ScreenRant a status update on the long-in-development Disney tentpole — and strongly implied that at least some of the franchise’s original cast may return. “We’re working on a screenplay,” Bruckheimer said. “Hopefully we’ll get it right — and then we’ll make it. We really want to make it, that’s for sure.”

Asked whether the next Pirates movie would be a reboot or a continuation, he added: “It’ll be a new take on it.” And when pressed about whether the cast would be brand-new, he smiled: “Well, not all new actors. We’ll have some back.”

"Not All New Actors:" Pirates Of The Caribbean 6's Returning Cast Members For "New Take" Teased By Franchise Producer
Image
Pirates of the Caribbean franchise producer Jerry Bruckheimer teases returning cast members in the upcoming sixth installment. The project has been in development since Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales was in the works, but in light of Amber Heard's abuse allegations, Disney dropped the lead star, Johnny Depp, from the franchise. During Depp's defamation trial against Heard, the Jack Sparrow star expressed that he had no interest in returning.

In an interview with ScreenRant's Ash Crossan for F1, which will be released on June 27, Bruckheimer offers an update on Pirates of the Caribbean 6's cast and the sequel's current status. The franchise producer revealed that they are still working on the script, which will be "a new take," but it won't be a brand-new cast. Bruckheimer confirmed that some members would return. Check out his comments below:

Orlando Bloom Says He’s Ready for More ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ if the Band Gets Back Together: “There’s been talk”
Image
Orlando Bloom says he’s still open to returning to the Pirates of the Caribbean series, but right now, nothing’s confirmed. Bloom, who played Will Turner in four of the films from 2003 to 2017, last showed up in Dead Men Tell No Tales with Johnny Depp and Keira Knightley.

That movie had a post-credits scene that teased a possible comeback for the original trio, Will, Elizabeth, and Captain Jack Sparrow, against Davy Jones, played by Bill Nighy. But since then, things have gone quiet.

Talking on the UK show This Morning, Bloom said there’s been some movement behind the scenes, but no real updates yet. “There’s been all kinds of things,” he said. “Who knows? There’s been talk [of a sixth movie]. I can’t say anything at the moment, because I really don’t know.” He also said, “I think they’re trying to work out what it would all look like.

Guy Ritchie's 'The Gentlemen' Has Re-Opened for Business With Season 2 Update

Eddie and Susie are officially back in business. The exciting update brings with it some big revelations about what's next now that Eddie and Kaya Scodelario's Susie are more invested than ever in the "high" life with Bobby (Ray Winstone). It promises to be a wild ride with higher stakes than ever as their ambitions for expanding the business run wild.

Season 1 of The Gentlemen follows Eddie as he navigates the weed business operating just under his 15,000-acre estate, thrusting him into the colorful world of the British aristocracy full of proprietors who aren't keen on waiting for him to learn the ropes. By the end of the run,...

The Gentlemen season 2 | Hugh Bonneville and others join cast as filming begins
Image
Netflix is moving ahead with The Gentlemen season 2 and Hugh Bonneville among others has joined its cast. More details below!

It didn’t take long for Netflix to renew The Gentlemen, Guy Ritchie’s loose spin-off of his own film of the same name, for season 2 but there hasn’t been any news to share about the new season since.

Thankfully, Netflix has now announced that The Gentlemen season 2 is in production and new castmembers are joining the fun.

Hugh Bonneville, Benjamin Clementine, Benedetta Porcaroli, Michele Morrone, Sergio Castellito, Amra Mallassi, Tyler Conti and Maya Jama are all getting tangled up in the criminal activities of the Glass family. Considering how many people died in the first season, we doubt many of these new characters make it very far.

Theo James, Kaya Scodelario and Daniel Ings are all returning to their roles as are Ray Winstone, Giancarlo Esposito, Joely Richardson and Vinnie Jones.

Although hesitant to join the criminal lifestyle at first, Eddie develops a taste for it and finds an unexpected ally in Susie as they face down the UK and Europe’s most notorious (and hilarious) gangster families. Just four years after he and Keanu Reevesbecame '80s icons with Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure, Alex Winterteamed up with frequent collaborator Tom Stern to write and direct a '90s cult classic — Freaked. Winter worked both in front of and behind the camera as co-director for the project, creating a darkly-comedic creature feature packed with gnarly and imaginative practical effects, gross-out humor aplenty, and a colorful aesthetic that stands out from its contemporaries. The bizarre B-movie mash-up evoking everything from Pee-wee's Playhouse to H.P. Lovecraft landed with a critical thud in 1993, but time has earned it new life with cinephiles, as evident by its 66% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes. Now, Collider is excited to share that the film is finally getting the 4K restoration it needed courtesy of Drafthouse Films.

Freaked is coming home this fall with a release on digital platforms as well as a special edition...

The Wait for ‘The Gentlemen’ Season 2 Is Going To Be a Lengthy One
Image
Last year, Netflix and Guy Ritchie's series, The Gentlemen, established itself as a hit for the streamer. Debuting in March 2024, the show, which starred Theo James and the impressive Kaya Scodelario, offered a perfect blend of aristocracy, murder, crime and drug dealing, and after a surprisingly lengthy five-month wait, the series earned itself a second season renewal in August last year. If you had hoped to see the second season of the show this year, you are likely to be disappointed. The Gentlemen season 2 has just now begun filming in the UK. While this is good news for the show as a whole, with a prospective release window of 2026, it means the gap between the first and second seasons will be a pretty lengthy one.

In the second season, James and Scodelario will reprise their roles as Eddie Horniman and Susie Glass, respectively. When the announcement was made regarding the renewal,...

'The Gentlemen' Season 2 Has Now Started Filming for Netflix
Image
Fans have been left waiting for any updates about the second season of Guy Ritchie’s hit Netflix series, The Gentlemen. And while we now have a promising update, it could mean fans will be left waiting even longer before returning to this caper about an aristocrat and his drug empire.

As per a report by Screen Global Production, The Gentlemen Season 2 has only just started filming, with the Netflix production returning to the United Kingdom for the follow-up. Much like its predecessor, the second season will consist of eight episodes but, while the series was officially renewed back in August last year, it has taken a while before getting it in front of cameras. Meaning audiences are likely looking at a 2026 release date.

Landing on Netflix in March 2024, The Gentlemen is a spin-off of Guy Ritchie’s 2019 crime comedy of the same name starring Matthew McConaughey, Charlie Hunnam, Henry Golding,...

Keanu Reeves and Alex Winter’s Broadway Reunion Gets Opening Date
Image
Keanu Reeves and Alex Winter's next excellent adventure together has officially set its opening date, though it won't be in the world of Bill & Ted. Their previously announced Broadway rendition of Samuel Beckett's play Waiting for Godot is now set to begin previews at the Hudson Theatre, Broadway's oldest venue, on September 13. The curtain will officially rise on this strictly limited engagement starring the longtime friends on September 28, with dates running through January 4, 2026. Announcements for the full casting and design teams are expected soon.

Directed and produced by the acclaimed Jamie Lloyd, the show is a bit more of a serious affair for the dynamic duo than the most righteous time-travelling, rock-and-roll adventures they've typically embarked on together. Godot is a theatrical touchstone around the world, premiering back in 1953 in French and subsequently being translated into many languages with its leads, Vladimir and Estragon, being played by many talented actors,...

Image
Shout! Studios, the multi-platform media company backed by Oaktree Capital Management, has acquired Gravitas Ventures from Anthem Sports & Entertainment, Inc.

The deal was finalized over the weekend, we hear, with employees at Shout! being notified this morning. It came following rumblings of multiple layoffs at boutique distributor Gravitas. When Deadline reached out to various staff members at the distributor, we were met with bounce-backs, seemingly confirming sudden departures.

Why MTV's Controversial Skins Adaptation Was Canceled After One Season
Image
The U.K. television series "Skins" was wildly successful both in its home country and abroad, so in 2011, MTV attempted to bring that success to the U.S. with their own adaptation. Almost directly copying the first season of the U.K. version character-for-character and beat-for-beat, just with a new location, the new "Skins" had the potential to be a stateside sensation. The show even had original series creator Bryan Elsley helping to adapt it, and they cast an entirely new group of amateur relative-unknowns, hoping to maybe launch a few careers in the spirit of its predecessor. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case, and the show was cancelled after just one season — so what happened?

It seems like the U.S. just wasn't ready for something like "Skins," which is pretty funny considering the success of the U.S. adaptation of the equally-racy "Shameless," but ratings were low and the...

Zach Cregger's Resident Evil Reboot Reportedly Eyeing Anora Star Mikey Madison For Female Lead
Image
Fans of Capcom's renowned survival horror video game were ecstatic to recently learn that Sony was contemplating a reboot of the original Resident Evil film series, which starred Mila Jovovich.

Compared to the Jovovich/Paul W. S. Anderson-developed films, which included a number of original characters and story twists, the reboot is said to be far more true to the storyline of the Capcom video game franchise.

Recently, Austin Abrams (Euphoria) was offered the role of the male lead in the reboot, which is written and directed by Zach Cregger.

Now, a new report from World of Reel states that Anora award-winning actress Mikey Madison is now in talks for the female lead.

The unconfirmed plot of the film is said to center on, "a hapless courier (Abrams) tasked with delivering a package to a remote hospital. He finds himself caught in the middle of an outbreak and...

‘MobLand’ Review: Tom Hardy and Pierce Brosnan Offer Mumbly Menace in Derivative Paramount+ Crime Thriller

You’d have to go all the way back to 2000’s Snatch for the last Guy Ritchie project that I awaited with unabashed anticipation.

At the time, Ritchie was coming off of the sleeper success of Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels and he seemed like one of the freshest young voices in British cinema. Of course, Ritchie followed Snatch with Swept Away, setting off a prolific and unpredictable career of hits and misses (more the latter than the former).

I was astounded, though, by how much I enjoyed Ritchie’s 2024 Netflix series, The Gentleman. Despite my tepid feelings for the source material — Hugh Grant kept that film watchable — and generally tepid feelings for leading man Theo James, I thought The Gentleman was a blast, a well-calibrated mixture of wild supporting performances and high-octane action, held together by Kaya Scodelario’s extremely confident central turn.

The Gentlemen was so much...

Resident Evil: Austin Abrams In Talks To Star In Barbarian Director Zach Cregger's Reboot
Image
Though the previous Resident Evil movies starring Milla Jovovich certainly found an audience, many fans of the long-running survival horror video game series still feel that haven't had a really great adaptation. That could change with Zach Cregger at the helm.

The Barbarian director's next project as part of his current deal with New Line Cinema is Weapons, which recently wrapped production and is set to hit theaters in early 2026. However, THR confirmed that Cregger is indeed set to write and direct a new Resident Evil adaptation for Sony/Constantin late last year, and we now have word on who is set to play the lead.

As first reported by Daniel Richtman, Deadline has confirmed that Wolfs and Euphoria actor Austin Abrams is in talks to star in the movie. No details on the character he'd play were disclosed, but there is speculation that it might be Leon Kennedy.
