A Bronx raised filmmaker that resides in Pennsylvania. He attended DeWitt Clinton High School in NYC. He obtained his undergraduate degree at Stony Brook University and his Master's degree at Lehman College. Carlos J. Benitez has spent the last 25 years serving as a teacher and school leader in public education with the New York City Department of Education.
As a filmmaker, he produced short films with Hine's Park Productions from 1998 to 2018. His most recent productions have been with Sexy Pineapples Productions. Their first production was Cookies N Screams (2021) and their latest feature is Luna's Fear (2022).
