Keith J. Crocker was born on April 26, 1965 in Long Island, New York. His father Donald stems from a family of Masons who ran a three generation family business called Crocker & Sons and was of French, English, and Icelandic ancestry. His mother Marion Basile is the daughter of James Basile and Anna McGuire, who owned and operated a deli. James hailed from Italy (his parents were Italian) and Anna stemmed from Longford, Ireland. Keith has three brothers and two sisters. Crocker attended the New York Institute of Technology from 1984 to 1988. One of Keith's first movie gigs was producing and directing short films for a phobic clinic in Long Island. Moreover, Crocker produced training films for the Shield Institute of Queens, New York, had a brief job lighting wedding videos in the mid 1980's, and worked as a motion picture projectionist in the mid 1990's. He launched the fanzine "The Exploitation Journal" in 1987; this magazine was published up until 2005. Keith owns and operates Cinefear Video, a source for rare and unavailable films on VHS and DVD which he started in 1990. In addition, Crocker gives presentations on the movie genre at various libraries and public centers throughout Long Island and teaches adult education at a local college. Keith made a series of short 16mm films in the late 1980's and early 1990's which include "Thanksgiving Day," "DeSade '88," "A Zombies Tale," and "One Grave Too Many." He acts in and was an associate producer on the 1989 short movie "French Kiss." Crocker made his feature debut in 1997 with "The Bloody Ape" and followed this picture with the Nazisploitation item "Blitzkrieg: Escape from Stalag 69." In addition, Keith is the co-creator of the DVD label WildEye Releasing. Keith Crocker has been married to wife Christina Zuber since 1998.

    • Quotes
My intention in life is to make pictures and I will go out doing it. But I'm a throwback, I write stuff you would see in the past, I'm not writing for this market's mentality. I have every intention to make another picture.
