    • Evgeni Budinov is a Bulgarian theatre and film actor and theatre director. He was born on 20th June 1981 in Sofia, Bulgaria. He studied acting at the National Academy for Theater and Film Arts in the class of Stefan Danailov. Since 2023 he is an actor at The National Theatre of Bulgaria.

      Evgeni is acting on the stage of The Bulgarian National Theater "Ivan Vazov" and "Little City Theater Off the Channel", where he has more than 40 roles, including "Marriage" by Gogol, "The glass menagerie" by Tennessee Williams and "Rosencrantz and Guildenstem are dead" by Tom Stoppard.

      He has leading and supporting roles in the cinema among which are "Hushove" (2008), "Footsteps in the sand" (2010), "Trip to Jerusalem" (2003), "Undercover" (2011-2013), "Rapid Response Corps" (2012), "Rapid Response Corps 2: Nuclear Threat" (2014), Inches from the Ground (2016), and "Heights" (2017). He has also acted in famous Bulgarian series such as "Darvoto na jivota", "Pod prikritie", "Condominium", and "Stolen Life".

      Evgeni has worked as an author and a host in the TV programs "Flight of the Night" (2009), "Before Lunch" (2014-2015), "Marmalade" (2016).

  • Evgeni Budinov is a child from the second marriage of a Bulgarian designer and a fire brigade colonel. Upon his birth in 1981, his parents were already quite advanced in years - his father was 50, and his mother was 37. From his parents' previous marriages, he has two brothers and a sister. He left home when he was only 17 and shared rent of some attics in the center of Sofia with Deyan Donkov and other prominent Bulgarian directors and musicians most of whom are still dear friends of his. At that time he worked as a barman, waiter, security guard, ice cream seller, builder, and whatnot. Since 2005 he has been acting professionally at the theater, television, and movies.
