Laura Nevell

Born in the Chicago suburb of Highland Park, it was obvious to her parents that she loved to perform whether it be for family, friends, or just a bunch of stuffed animals. With an over abundance of energy her mother found that the passion for performance helped her to channel that energy into something positive by throwing herself into school productions such as school plays, holiday parades and community theater at the early age of 4. It was that special energy and passion that acted as the catalyst for the green eyed blonde haired beauty to organize a neighborhood theater group. She would make up songs and skits with accompanying dance routines moving throughout the neighborhood entertaining children and adults alike. It was also at the age of 4 that the little prodigy taught herself how to play the piano which lead to several of her own original compositions. Her amazed mother wasted no time enrolling her daughter in a music school but shortly after learning the basics, the little green eyed beauty opted out, preferring to tackle the keyboard on her own. Once in high school she realized her love of performing could segue into a full time career so she went on to study TV/FILM at Northern Illinois University where she was active in several college and local on camera productions. At the same time she hosted a popular local talk show called "Good Morning Dekalb". Shortly after graduating with a degree in Film/TV production Laura returned to Chicago where she was quickly signed by one of the city's most respected talent agencies which lead to a myriad of on camera commercials, short films and several appearances on the "Jenny Jones Show". At the same time she was cast in several popular Chicago theater productions such as "Grease", "In the Boom, Boom, Room" and "Prisoner of 2nd Avenue". But for Laura the lure of the big screen was just too tempting not to pass up so like thousands of other aspiring Hollywood hopefuls she set her sights on Hollywood and headed to the west coast. Within a matter of a few weeks she landed the role of Brenda Madison on the ABC Soap "Port Charles", followed by a lead in the feature film "Girl on a String" and more recently a recurring role on the daytime Soaps Opera, "Passions". You might also recognize Laura from her guest appearances on Ryan Seacrest's "On-Air".
