Biography

Juan Zapata is a writer, director and producer born in Medellin, Colômbia and based in the United States. He studied directing and screenwriting in Cuba (EICTV) from 2001 to 2003 and lived in Brazil for 12 years. In 2014, he became the Director of the Film Institute of the State of Rio Grande do Sul (IECINE) in Southern Brazil. He is known for Another Forever (2016), Simone (2013), Fidelidad (2004), and A Dança da Vida (2007).
